Fishing boat caught fire while anchored on Nhat Le River

QTO - According to information from Nhat Le Border Guard Station, the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province said that at about 12 noon on September 11, a fishing boat fire broke out at the anchorage of Ha Thon village, Dong Hoi ward.

At this time, the fishing boat with registration number QB-91866-TS of Mr. Hoang Canh, 33 years old, residing in Ha Thon village, Dong Hoi ward, was anchored at the Ha Thon village anchorage, on Nhat Le river, near Nhat Le 2 bridge, Dong Hoi ward, when it suddenly caught fire.

Immediately after receiving the news, Nhat Le Border Guard Station, Provincial Border Guard urgently mobilized 10 officers and soldiers along with a specialized canoe to approach the scene.

At the scene, the Border Guard force, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Provincial Police and local people deployed measures to put out the fire.

After more than 1 hour of firefighting efforts, by 13:10 the same day, the fire was basically controlled, preventing it from spreading to other boats anchored in this area.

Currently, authorities are conducting damage statistics and investigating the cause of the incident.
