In the regular press conference of the Foreign Ministry in Hanoi, when asked about Vietnam’s response to the fact the US Trade Department decided to conduct its investigation of dumping price of the wind power pillar imported from Vietnam, the Foreign Ministry Spokesman Luong Thanh Nghi said that the decision of the US Trade Department on conducting its investigation of the dumping prices of the wind power pillars imported from Vietnam is groundless, failing to reflect the fact of production and business activities of this item of goods in Vietnam and runs counter to the US commitments, particularly at the APEC Summit 19 held in the US in November 2011 concerning the acceleration of green growth as well as creating conditions for international trade to have more favorable development.

“We believe that the US Trade Department should consider and handle this issue in an objective and fair manner in conformity with the spirit of trade liberalization, the multilateral commitments and the fine development of the economic and trade relations between Vietnam and the US,” – stressed the spokesman./.
