1,000 KIM LONG brand buses exported to Thailand

(Chinhphu.vn) - On December 9, KIM LONG MOTOR Hue Joint Stock Company and KIJSETTHI Mobility Company (Thailand) officially signed a sales agreement, according to which KIM LONG MOTOR will supply 1,000 buses of various types under the KIMLONG brand to KIJSETTHI Mobility, serving the Thai market.

KIM LONG MOTOR Hue Joint Stock Company and KIJSETTHI Mobility Company signed an agreement to purchase and sell 1,000 buses.

This large-scale export contract marks a new step forward for the company in its journey to bring "Made in Vietnam" products to conquer the international market. At the same time, it affirms the ability to produce very modern vehicles and the superior quality of KIM LONG brand products, contributing to raising the position of the Vietnamese automobile manufacturing industry in the global value chain. Previously, KIMLONG brand buses were exported to the Korean market and soon to the Middle East and many other countries.

According to the contract, KIM LONG MOTOR will supply 1,000 buses of all kinds to the Thai market, including the main lines: 12m buses (internal combustion engine and pure electric), 7.8m buses (internal combustion engine) and 7.5m electric buses. The products are researched and developed by KIM LONG MOTOR's team of experienced engineers, suitable for terrain conditions, traffic infrastructure and specific requirements of customers in the Thai market.

In particular, the 7.5m and 12m electric bus (EV) models are notable highlights with modern and completely environmentally friendly designs. The vehicles use new technology BYD batteries manufactured at the Battery Manufacturing and Assembly Plant in the KIM LONG MOTOR Hue Automobile Manufacturing and Assembly Industrial Park, allowing stable, smooth operation and maintaining high performance even under continuous operating conditions. Thanks to the ability to save energy and significantly reduce emissions, this vehicle line is suitable for the requirements of the green transportation system, while meeting the orientation of transitioning to clean energy that the Thai Government is strongly promoting.

The cooperation between KIM LONG MOTOR and KIJSETTHI Mobility is considered a strategic step, opening up great development space for both businesses.

The 12m KIMLONG99 seat and sleeper bus models with modern and comfortable design, using the new generation YUCHAI K11 engine, with a capacity of 10,979 (cc), 410Ps capacity, maximum torque of 1,000~1,400/2,000 Nm/rpm for powerful performance, fuel consumption of only 19-22 liters/100km, promise to bring optimal efficiency to businesses.

Since its launch, the engine line used on the KIMLONG 99 series has been delivered to more than 2,000 customers and partners, affirming the prestige and outstanding production capacity of KIM LONG MOTOR. In addition, the 7.8m bus model meets Euro 5 standards, has a compact, flexible design and stable acceleration and stopping ability, making the vehicle suitable for short routes and high operating frequency, providing the optimal choice for inner-city routes with high traffic density.

All exported products are manufactured at KIM LONG MOTOR Hue Automobile Manufacturing and Assembly Industrial Park with automated production lines and digital management. In particular, KIM LONG MOTOR's engine and automobile product production capacity is strongly strengthened with the inauguration of the YUCHAI Engine Manufacturing & Manufacturing Factory, which was inaugurated on December 5, 2025.

With a scale of 6.5 hectares, initial investment capital of 260 million USD and automation level of up to 90%, the factory is capable of producing a variety of international standard engine lines for buses, minibuses and new generation commercial vehicles.

In the context of Southeast Asia accelerating the transition to green, smart and sustainable means of transport, the cooperation between KIM LONG MOTOR and KIJSETTHI Mobility is considered a strategic step, opening up great development space for both businesses.
