1,114 women's union members of Dong Ha city performed folk dance and Ao Dai show

This morning, March 3, at the Quang Tri Province Cultural and Cinema Center Square, the Dong Ha City Women's Union organized a folk dance performance and ao dai show in 2024. These are activities to celebrate the 114th anniversary of International Women's Day March 8 (1910-2024) and the 1984th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising. In recent years, the Women's Union at all levels in Dong Ha City has always focused on promoting the movement of physical exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho. Many models and clubs with increasingly rich and diverse types of exercise such as folk dance, sports dance, health care, aerobics... have attracted a large number of female members and people to participate.

President of the Dong Ha City Women's Union Pham Thi Thu Ha said that after planning to organize folk dance performances and Ao Dai performances, the union's branches actively responded, practicing day and night, creating a vibrant sports movement among female members. This is one of the activities of Dong Ha Women's Union in response to the "Ao Dai Week" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union. Through the program, it contributes to effectively implementing the emulation movement "Building Quang Tri women of the new era, with knowledge, morality, health, patriotism, affection and responsibility to family and community".

At the program, with the background music of songs praising the homeland, the spirit of pride in the tradition of Vietnamese women, resilience, indomitability, loyalty, responsibility, dynamism, desire for innovation and creativity, 1,114 women of Dong Ha City performed 2 folk dances in an exciting, uniform, healthy and beautiful manner. At the same time, they performed very confidently in graceful, charming and brilliant ao dai.

On this occasion, through sponsorship from philanthropists of Herbalife Vietnam Independent Member, Dong Ha City Women's Union presented 20 bicycles worth 30 million VND to women's member households in difficult circumstances; received funding to support the construction of charity houses worth 60 million VND. In addition, 1,000 Ao Dai called for through the program "Ao Dai to send love" organized by Dong Ha City Women's Union were presented to members in difficult circumstances in the area.
