1 month, more than 15,700 cases of alcohol concentration violations were punished

After 1 month of implementing the peak topic of handling violations of alcohol and drug concentrations (from October 11 to November 11), the Traffic Police force, Ho Chi Minh City Police Department has recorded and handled more than 54,800 violations, with violations such as alcohol concentration, going the wrong way, speeding...

Of these, more than 15,700 cases violated alcohol concentration; 64 cases violated drugs.

Traffic police detained 106 cars; 18,487 motorbikes; 689 other vehicles; and revoked the driving licenses of 3,256 cases.

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Quang Truong, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department, said that during the peak period, the unit mobilized maximum forces, vehicles, technical equipment, closely coordinated, and resolutely and synchronously implemented measures to restore discipline and order in compliance with traffic safety laws.

Traffic police check alcohol concentration of motorcyclists

Traffic police focus on preventing, detecting and strictly handling violations of alcohol and drug concentrations according to the motto "No forbidden zones, no exceptions".

Traffic police also coordinate with local police to encourage restaurants, eateries, bars, entertainment establishments to sign a commitment not to let customers who have drunk alcohol, beer... drive. When detecting violations, promptly notify the authorities to prevent and handle them.
