According to Dr. Julian De Silva, Director of the Center for Advanced Facial Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery in London (UK), Emma Stone is "an absolute winner when all facial elements are evaluated for balance and perfection."
“She scored highest for eyebrows (94.2%), had a near-perfect jawline (97%) and ideally symmetrical lips (95.6%). Emma won due to her outstanding uniformity across all elements of the golden ratio,” said Dr. De Silva.

To come to this conclusion, Dr. De Silva's team used 3D computer facial mapping techniques based on the golden ratio - a method that helps determine symmetry, harmony and proportion between facial features.
The Golden Ratio is a mathematical formula that originated in ancient Greece and is represented by the number Phi = 1.618. This formula is used to define perfection in nature, architecture, and the human body. The closer the face or body is to the number 1.618, the more ideal it is considered to be.

During the Renaissance, famous painters and architects, most notably Leonardo da Vinci, used the golden ratio in their art. Da Vinci used this formula to describe the perfect male body in his famous work, The Vitruvian Man .
Today, scientists combine the golden ratio with 3D scanning technology to measure the human face. They calculate the distance between the forehead, nose, chin, eyes and the overall symmetry. The closer to 1.618, the more perfect the face is considered.
In addition to Emma Stone, Dr. De Silva's list includes many other famous faces.

Zendaya, the actress of Dune , ranked second with 94.37%. She scored near-perfect marks for her lips (99.5%), eyes (97.3%), and forehead (98%), but lost points slightly for the distance between her nose and lips.

Indian actress Freida Pinto (left) of Slumdog Millionaire ranked third with 94.34% while Vanessa Kirby of The Crown ranked fourth with 94.31%.

Wednesday star Jenna Ortega had the best-scored forehead (99.6%) but scored lower in face shape (88%).

Indian-origin actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Miss World 1994, ranked 8th with 93.41%.

Young singer Olivia Rodrigo (left) and blonde star Margot Robbie scored 93.71% and 93.43% respectively.

Tang Wei, the Chinese actress famous for Lust, Caution , surprisingly appeared in 9th place (93.08%).

American singer Beyoncé Knowles rounds out the top 10 with 92.4%. Despite her perfect facial contours (99.6%) and beautiful eyes, she loses points for the distance between her nose and lips.
Previously, in 2024, Dr. De Silva also applied the golden ratio formula to determine the 10 most handsome men in the world. Topping the list is actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson with 93.04%, followed by Lucien Laviscount, Paul Mescal, Robert Pattinson and Jack Lowden.
According to experts, this research is not only a reference for beauty, but also useful in planning cosmetic surgery and facial reconstruction, helping doctors better understand natural harmony.
