This morning, May 26, at the Quang Tri Provincial Cultural and Cinema Center, the Provincial People's Committee organized the Fire Fighting and Rescue Competition "Fire Prevention and Fighting Inter-family Team" in 2024. The Fire Fighting and Rescue Competition "Fire Safety Inter-family Team" was organized with 2 rounds at district and provincial levels.
At the provincial round, there were 10 teams from the best performing Fire Safety Inter-family Teams from districts, towns and cities across the province participating in the competition.
The teams must go through 3 parts of the competition: Theory test, answering questions about fire prevention and fighting knowledge and search and rescue; fire fighting and search and rescue practice for housing combined with production and business; and parade to show off forces and vehicles.

In his opening speech, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong emphasized that in fire prevention and rescue work, human safety and life must be put first, thoroughly grasping the viewpoint that people are the center and the subject in the golden time to carry out fire fighting work within no more than 5 minutes from the time the fire breaks out with the motto of 4 on-site.
To do this well, it is necessary to build a movement for the entire population to participate in fire prevention and fighting work and develop it widely in the community. In particular, pay special attention to building a strong and effective model of inter-family fire safety groups.
This is considered an important force to implement fire safety measures in residential areas, houses or production and business establishments.
This model is applied to enhance coordination and support between households, residents, and business producers to create a community safety network, together effectively fighting fire and explosion.

With careful preparation of knowledge and investment in practicing practical skills, at the competition, the Fire Safety Inter-family Teams of the localities competed actively and enthusiastically, skillfully and quickly performing the steps and skills in fire prevention and rescue work.

At the end of the contest, the organizing committee awarded the first prize to the Gio Linh district Fire Safety Inter-family Team; the second prize went to Trieu Phong and Huong Hoa districts.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 9 groups and 9 individuals; the Provincial Police awarded certificates of merit to 6 groups and 8 individuals for their outstanding achievements in organizing the Fire Fighting and Rescue Competition "Fire Prevention and Control Inter-family Team" in 2024 in conjunction with the 3-year review of the implementation of the topic "Strengthening fire prevention and rescue work for residential areas, households, and houses for housing combined with production and business".
