The event, taking place from November 28th to November 30th at the Revolutionary Tradition House (No. 1 Ba Cu Street, Vung Tau Ward), brings together more than 100 stalls featuring various sectors including food, beverages, handicrafts, medicinal herbs, processed agricultural products, and more.
This initiative will serve as an important bridge, bringing OCOP products closer to the consumer market of the country's largest city; and at the same time, spreading the distinctive economic and cultural values of various regions to communities both domestically and internationally.
Simultaneously, it contributes to boosting consumption and expanding the distribution system; strengthening trade connections between OCOP entities and retail, processing, logistics businesses and consumers; thereby enhancing brand image and increasing the competitiveness of distinctive, traditional, and innovative products.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Toan Thang, Director of the City's Department of Agriculture and Environment, emphasized: "The 'One Commune, One Product - OCOP' program is not only a key task of the new rural development program but also a driving force for regional linkages, promoting the formation of characteristic commodity value chains, improving product quality, creating jobs, increasing income, and spreading local cultural identity."
Mr. Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, also affirmed that the OCOP program has become an important driving force in the transformation of the rural economic structure, developing production towards added value and sustainability.
In the coming period, to ensure the program's substantive and sustainable development, the city will work alongside OCOP entities through four basic groups of issues: perfecting institutions and enhancing the capacity of entities; promoting consumption and expanding export markets; linking OCOP products with tourism; and strengthening value chain linkage models.
Within the framework of the event, on November 29th, the thematic workshop: “Promoting the development of the OCOP value chain, connecting consumption and brand promotion” also heard delegates and experts provide in-depth analysis and practical solutions on improving product quality; developing value chains and traceability; building and managing brands; and expanding domestic and international markets.
