The single-engine Cessna Caravan plane crashed near Rio Branco airport shortly after takeoff, Acre state authorities said.

Ten passengers, including nine adults and an infant, as well as the pilot and co-pilot were killed at the scene.
The plane caught fire on impact, sparking a wildfire in a remote area near Brazil's border with Peru and Bolivia, local media reported.
Fourteen people were also killed in September when a plane crashed while trying to land during a storm in the Amazonas town of Barcelos.
And in June, four children survived a plane crash in the Colombian Amazon, then managed to survive for 40 days in the jungle before being rescued in a massive search.
