The Science and Technology Competition is held annually for students from grades 8 to 12. This scientific platform aims to encourage students to conduct scientific and technological research, apply their learned knowledge to solve practical problems; contribute to the innovation of teaching and assessment methods; promote integrated science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education ; and improve the quality of teaching in educational institutions. It also provides an opportunity for students to showcase their scientific and technological research results; strengthen cultural and educational exchange between localities; and promote international integration.
This year, each unit (high schools, multi-level schools with high school level, vocational education and continuing education centers, communes, wards) is only allowed to register a maximum of 2 projects for the provincial-level competition. However, the 3 specialized high schools and the communes/wards of Tran Bien, Tan Phu, Trang Bom, Tam Hiep, Dong Phu, and Binh Phuoc are allowed to register a maximum of 3 projects. In addition, units with projects that won at least fourth prize in the National Science and Technology Competition for High School Students in the 2024-2025 school year are allowed to submit one additional project/prize, but the maximum number of projects participating in the provincial-level competition is no more than 6 projects per unit.
After the launch period, the organizing committee received 320 projects from units throughout the province. Following the preliminary round, 120 outstanding projects were selected for the second round.
