Large-scale awards - selecting the best
The "Honoring the Inspirers" Award took place from July 1, initiated and implemented by SABECO in collaboration with Dai Doan Ket newspaper under the accompaniment and direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
150 "inspiring faces" with positive contributions in 6 fields ( Education - Vocational training, Sustainable environmental development, Balanced lifestyle and community health, Community development, Culture - arts - sports for the community, Science - technology for the community) entered the online voting round from November 15.
During the 10 days of online voting (November 15-25), there were nearly 20,000 participants through various platforms. The candidates' rankings changed constantly, closely following each other. 70% of the points came from the online voting results and 30% came from the evaluation of the Evaluation Council.
On November 29, the Appraisal Council including leaders of Dai Doan Ket newspaper, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , the National Institute of Intellectual Property, the Academy of Policy and Development, and leaders of SABECO met and selected the 15 most outstanding faces from the top 150.
Editor-in-Chief of Dai Doan Ket Newspaper - Mr. Truong Thanh Trung commented: "From 150 inspirational faces, choosing the 15 most outstanding individuals is an extremely difficult task. These are all typical individuals, the elite in the community. Choosing the "elite of the elite" is a big challenge. The evaluation board consists of prestigious experts, evaluating on many aspects, discussing many times to choose the 15 most worthy faces for the national honor night."

As one of the members of the Appraisal Council, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, shared that the organizing committee received and carefully reviewed the applications according to each field, including representatives of ethnic minorities, religions... The diverse list of candidates, from young people born in 2002 to seniors born in 1943, demonstrates the comprehensiveness of the award, representing generations.
Many true stories about the characters are vividly reflected, helping the Evaluation Council evaluate not only based on the profile but also from real life, through the persistent, quiet work of the "fire-bearers".
The common point of the top 150 is that all achievements are associated with the dedication and persistent efforts of each individual, reflecting the spirit of social responsibility and commitment. These are individuals who inspire and spread good values to the community. Therefore, the Evaluation Council "weighed their brains" in selecting the top 15.
Join hands to build a better, stronger Vietnam
The award recognizes the contributions that individuals have made to the community in many fields, from science, technology, to culture, arts and other practical activities.

Each individual has contributed so much to the country, from the impact they create to the spirit of commitment and dedication to work every day. Those stories really touch my heart, and it is these things that will contribute to helping Vietnam move forward in the future.”
For many years, SABECO’s sustainable development orientation has always been associated with activities that bring value to society, accompanying and supporting the efforts that individuals have made for the community and the country. Therefore, in 2025, on the occasion of SABECO’s 150th anniversary in Vietnam, the unit decided to coordinate the implementation of the “Honoring the Torchbearer” Award.
The 15 most outstanding individuals will be honored on December 5 in Hanoi. According to Mr. Lester Tan, honoring these outstanding individuals is also a thank you to everyone for joining hands to build a better, stronger Vietnam on the journey ahead.
The top 15 outstanding individuals selected from 150 candidates, based on online voting results (70%) and evaluation by the Evaluation Council (30%) will receive Honorary Symbols, Certificates and Honorary Cups from the Organizing Committee, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper and SABECO; have the opportunity to connect with SABECO's resources and partner network to expand the model and initiative. The prize value is 30 million VND.
