The 27th Euréka Student Scientific Research Award was launched and implemented from July 2025 to December 2025, attracting 2,179 topics from more than 7,500 candidates from 161 universities, colleges and academies nationwide.
This year, 192 best topics were awarded by the organizing committee. Of these, there were 15 first prizes, 15 second prizes, 21 third prizes and 141 consolation prizes.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Ngo Minh Hai assessed that the topics in the final round showed a strong breakthrough in new research trends. The most prominent group of topics applying artificial intelligence and automation appeared in most fields, reflecting the ability of students to quickly adapt to the new wave of technology.

Research on sustainable development, environment, renewable energy, smart cities, public health and green transformation also accounts for a large proportion, demonstrating the spirit of social responsibility and long-term development awareness of the young generation. At the same time, there are many topics focusing on big data, digital security, digital transformation in management and life, and cultural and social issues such as mental health, modern education , heritage and traditional arts.

Many topics have been received, implemented or signed memorandums of understanding for application by agencies and units. One example is the project "Research on the production of silver nano in chrysanthemum flower extract and evaluation of antibacterial and antifungal properties" transferred to Vinh Phat Company Limited, opening up the potential for organic nano applications in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. The topic "Nighttime economic development in Ben Thanh Ward" has been applied by the People's Committee of Ben Thanh Ward to urban management practices and exploiting the value of nighttime economic space in the city center.

“These projects show that Euréka is truly a “knowledge transfer ecosystem”, where students’ ideas step out of the classroom, alongside the digital transformation process, innovation and development requirements of the city. Euréka and the City Youth Union’s innovation programs will continue to be the platform for students to experiment, develop and spread breakthrough scientific ideas bearing the mark of the city’s young minds,” the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union emphasized.

Comrade Ngo Minh Hai expressed his hope that students would continue to maintain their passion for research and boldly choose topics related to the city's breakthrough requirements such as: urban infrastructure, regional connectivity, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cultural industry development, green economy and circular economy. These are the areas that the city is prioritizing investment in and are also a large space for students to demonstrate their intelligence, responsibility and desire to contribute.

This year's awards have a total of 15 fields, including: information technology; food technology; administration - law; chemistry; educational science; agricultural science; social science; medical science - pharmacy; economics; engineering technology; planning, architecture and construction; biology; resources and environment; culture - arts; physics.
