Specifically, these 66 transitional renewable energy projects have a total capacity of 3,691.861 MW, and the investor has sent documents to the Electricity Trading Company (under EVN) to negotiate electricity prices and electricity purchase contracts.
Of which, 56 projects (total capacity 3,087.661MW) have proposed a temporary price equal to 50% of the ceiling price of the price frame (according to Decision No. 21/QD-BCT dated January 7, 2023 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade ).
There have been 40 transitional renewable energy projects approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade for temporary prices.
EVN and investors have completed price negotiations and signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) for 51/56 projects, of which the Ministry of Industry and Trade has approved provisional prices for 40 projects.
To date, 10 projects have submitted documents for recognition of commercial operation date (COD), of which 9 projects/project parts with a total capacity of 472.62 MW have completed COD procedures and officially generated commercial electricity to the grid.
Thus, the number of documents submitted for price negotiation increased by 1 document, the number of projects with temporary price approval by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the number of power generation projects connected to the grid have not changed compared to the data announced last weekend.
Also according to EVN, of these, 19 projects have been accepted by competent State management agencies for the construction/part of the construction; 27 projects have been granted electricity operation licenses for the entire plant/part of the plant; 25 projects have had decisions to extend investment policies.
Regarding the extension of investment policies for renewable energy projects, the Ministry of Planning and Investment recently requested the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to proactively resolve difficulties in the implementation of projects, under the authority of the Prime Minister 's Official Dispatch No. 280 dated April 19, regarding the content of rectification and strengthening of responsibility in handling work of agencies and localities.
Thus, there are still 19 projects with a total capacity of 1,042.7 MW that have not yet submitted negotiation documents.
Also on June 7, EVN updated information on the situation of additional diesel-fired power sources. As of May 25, the diesel-fired power output of Phu My 2.1, Phu My 2.1 expansion and Phu My 4 power plants was 369.25 million kWh with 74,885 m3 of diesel consumed.
