The launching ceremony for the organization of the 2nd Tien Phong Golf Championship - A Unified Nation 2026 took place at Long Thanh Golf Course ( Dong Nai City) on May 9th.
Attending the launch event were Mr. Ly Thanh Tam - Member of the Editorial Board, Head of the Tien Phong Newspaper Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Tran Ngoc Lam - Deputy Head of the Tien Phong Newspaper Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Trinh Thanh - Chairman of GolfPro Company and Mr. Nguyen Van Thong - General Manager of Long Thanh Golf Course (the organizing unit), along with representatives from coordinating units, partners and members of the organizing committee.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on many important issues related to the operation, organization, communication, networking with golfers, fundraising, and implementation of charitable activities for this year's tournament.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Mr. Ly Thanh Tam - Member of the Editorial Board, Head of the Tien Phong Newspaper's representative office in Ho Chi Minh City, said that the Tien Phong Golf Championship - A Unified Nation is not simply a sports tournament for the golfing community, but is gradually being developed into an activity with rich political , social, and humanitarian significance.
The organizers' goal is not simply to hold a golf tournament, but to create a platform that connects the business community, golfers, media outlets, and partners to jointly carry out practical activities for society.
"This year's tournament continues to be organized in the spirit of 'playing golf to share,' with community involvement as the central focus throughout, from organization and communication to fundraising," he shared.
Entering 2026, as the country celebrates 51 years of peace and development, and coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City being named after President Ho Chi Minh, the organizing committee has determined that the 2nd Tien Phong Golf Championship - A Unified Nation needs to be further elevated not only in terms of organizational quality but also in its social value.
The biggest highlight of this year's season is the fundraising program to build charitable houses for veterans, families of policy beneficiaries, and people in difficult circumstances in Dong Nai City.
The choice of Dong Nai as the host province for the tournament stems not only from its geographical location but also holds special significance given the province's rapid development and its ambition to become a centrally governed city.
“Dong Nai is currently one of the most dynamically developing localities in the South, especially with the Long Thanh area and the Long Thanh airport project. We hope that through this tournament, we will strengthen connections within the local business community and further promote social and charitable activities,” said Mr. Ly Thanh Tam.
According to the organizers, all activities of this year's tournament are geared towards the ultimate goal of raising funds to build more charitable houses for people in need. The important thing about the tournament is not its scale, format, or competitive achievements, but the community value created after each season.

The tournament brought together nearly 260 golfers.
According to the organizers, the 2nd Tien Phong Golf Championship - A Unified Nation in 2026 is expected to attract approximately 260 golfers to compete at Long Thanh Golf Course.
Speaking at the launch event, Mr. Trinh Thanh - Chairman of GolfPro Company - said that the Tien Phong Golf Championship - A Unified Nation is one of the golf tournaments with special significance that the company has ever participated in organizing.
According to Mr. Trinh Thanh, what makes the tournament unique is the combination of historical gratitude and community responsibility. “From the very first season, the tournament has been meant to honor those who contributed to the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. After more than half a century of peace, organizing a golf tournament associated with remembrance and social responsibility is very meaningful,” Mr. Trinh Thanh shared.
Representatives from GolfPro assessed Long Thanh Golf Course as a suitable location to host a large-scale tournament due to its well-invested course system, the ability to operate multiple courses simultaneously, and its experienced staff.
“Recently, Long Thanh Golf Course has invested heavily in upgrading its landscape, fairway and green systems, as well as its operational quality, in order to be ready for major tournaments. This is a very favorable condition for organizing this year's tournament,” said Mr. Trinh Thanh.
Although there are only about two weeks left to prepare, the participating units are coordinating with great determination to ensure the tournament is conducted in the most professional and synchronized manner possible.
“We are all experienced in organizing large-scale events. Everyone is determined to do their best to make the tournament a success. The important thing is not only the quality of organization but also the golfers' experience and the emotions the tournament brings,” Mr. Trinh Thanh shared.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Van Thong, General Manager of Long Thanh Golf Course, said that the unit was honored to be chosen by Tien Phong Newspaper to host this year's tournament.
A representative from the tournament organizers added that what makes the Tien Phong Golf Championship - A Unified Nation stand out is the humanitarian value that the tournament aims for.
"This is not just a golf tournament that provides a playing field for the golfing community, but also a tournament with great charitable significance, aiming to build houses for needy people," said Mr. Nguyen Van Thong.
Representatives from Long Thanh Golf Course stated that the club has extensive experience in organizing large-scale tournaments and is therefore always ready in terms of course layout, operations, and personnel.
