3 Vietnamese female PhDs receive L'oréal - UNESCO 2025 scholarships

QNgTV- At the L'Oréal – UNESCO National Scholarship Award Ceremony “For the Development of Women in Science 2025”, three Vietnamese female PhDs were honored with outstanding applied research. Each scholarship is worth 150 million VND. The three awarded scientists are pursuing urgent research directions of the world such as climate change, artificial intelligence and energy security.

3 Vietnamese female PhDs receive L'oréal - UNESCO 2025 scholarships

Associate Professor, Dr. To Thi Mai Huong from Hanoi University of Science and Technology developed gene editing technology to help reduce methane emissions from rice fields.

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Kim Ngoc from the University of Science - Ho Chi Minh City National University researches memristor-based In-Memory Computing architecture, which promises to significantly reduce the energy consumption of AI systems.

From the United States, Dr. Le Linh (Stanford University) was honored for her research on lithium-sulfur batteries, aiming for high energy density and longer life for electric vehicles and clean energy storage.

This year's scholarship award ceremony continues to affirm the mark of Vietnamese women in science, as their research is directly solving big problems of the future.
