On the evening of November 4, at the National Convention Center ( Hanoi ), a ceremony was held to announce 359 products of 190 enterprises recognized as achieving Vietnam National Brand (THQG) in 2024.

Honoring businesses towards the green era
The 9th National Brand Program has attracted the participation of over 1,000 enterprises in different industries and fields across the country. After more than 9 months of launching and selecting, on October 21, the Minister of Industry and Trade - Chairman of the Vietnam National Brand Council - issued a decision to recognize 190 enterprises with a total of 359 products achieving Vietnam National Brand in 2024.

With the theme “Strengthening the Green Era”, the selected enterprises have all made efforts to combine economic development and sustainable development, demonstrating the spirit of innovation and environmental friendliness. The enterprises are not only pioneers in the economic field but also the driving force for the green development trend, contributing to creating a prosperous, sustainable and happy Vietnam in the future.
190 enterprises with products achieving National Brand in 2024 also had impressive business results with total revenue in 2023 reaching 2.4 million billion VND, total payment to the State budget of about 150 thousand billion VND, ensuring jobs for over 600,000 workers and people, actively participating in social security activities, contributing to promoting the country's rapid and sustainable development.
In that list, there are many big names, which are considered "leading cranes" in the business community. For example, Vingroup Corporation, Vietnam Airlines Corporation, Vinamilk Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company, TH True Milk Dairy Food Joint Stock Company, Duy Tan Recycled Plastic Joint Stock Company, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade, Doji Gold and Gemstone Group Joint Stock Company, Garment 10 Corporation...
According to the Organizing Committee, the highlight of the enterprises with products achieving the National Quality Award this year is that they have affirmed their pioneering role in their industry and field through specific actions towards the green era. Accordingly, the enterprises have proactively researched and applied advanced technology, reduced emissions and used renewable energy sources.
For example, VinFast electric vehicles of Vingroup Corporation have pioneered in reducing carbon emissions and pollution from transportation - one of the industries that has a major impact on the environment. VinFast not only meets the demand for sustainable vehicles but also helps Vietnamese consumers access green transportation solutions according to international standards.
TH True Milk has also built a farm system according to organic standards with a dairy farming process that does not use antibiotics and growth hormones. They also apply waste treatment technology to create organic fertilizers, helping to protect the environment and reduce pollution, using renewable energy from solar power systems to reduce the amount of energy consumed from conventional power sources.
Vinamilk is the only representative of Southeast Asia in the top 5 "Most Sustainable Dairy Brands in the World" according to Brand Finance's report. Accordingly, Brand Finance ranked Vinamilk 5th in the top 10 in terms of "Sustainability Perceived Value - SPV".
Duy Tan Plastic Recycling Joint Stock Company is a leading enterprise in Vietnam specializing in collecting and processing plastic scrap from various sources. The enterprise uses recycled plastic scrap to produce new plastic products, such as packaging and household items, minimizing the exploitation of raw materials from nature. This not only helps to reduce the amount of plastic waste released into the environment but also contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions during the production process...

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: Building and developing the Vietnamese national brand is a task of special importance and strategic significance; it is the mission of all of us, requiring perseverance, effort and unceasing creativity.
" We need to clearly understand that a brand is not only an affirmation of product quality but also a commitment to sustainable development to move forward into the Green Era ," the Prime Minister emphasized.

The Prime Minister requested that enterprises achieving the National Brand in particular and the Vietnamese business community and entrepreneurs in general need to continue to promote the core values: Quality - Innovation - Creativity - Pioneering capacity; Continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, attachment, for the benefit of enterprises associated with the interests of the nation and people, strive to overcome difficulties, innovate, constantly improve production and business efficiency and gradually improve competitiveness in the region and globally, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of the country.
The Prime Minister noted that in the coming time, businesses need to continuously focus on exploiting opportunities from the green growth and sustainable development trend; pioneering in the green revolution; taking advantage of the prestige of national brands, while combining product branding with the Vietnamese national brand; actively seeking and expanding international markets and participating more deeply in the global supply chain.
" The beautiful image of each national brand will be a beautiful image of the brand of the country, traditions, culture and people of Vietnam, especially in the context of the world promoting commitments to reduce emissions and combat climate change. Enterprises need to proactively switch to green production models, using renewable energy and environmentally friendly technology ," the Prime Minister directed.
The Prime Minister also emphasized the task of promoting digital transformation and green transformation; proactively innovating production and business models, restructuring enterprises associated with the development of green economy, digital economy, circular economy, and global economy.
The Head of Government hopes that businessmen will consider time, intelligence, compassion, and business ethics as the sources of sustainable development for a business entering the Green Era.
" That is what the Party and State share and entrust the most to businesses and entrepreneurs. We are proud that businesses are increasingly progressing, developing and contributing to the cause of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; contributing to building a strong, prosperous Vietnam, where people are warm, well-off and happy, " he said.
According to the Prime Minister, the success and development of the business community is a measure of the success of the State's management and administration. Therefore, the Government understands, shares, listens and will continue to have supportive solutions to remove difficulties, create maximum conditions for businesses to develop; continue to perfect policy mechanisms, reform administrative procedures, improve the investment and business environment - considering the removal of bottlenecks and barriers that cause difficulties for businesses as an important political task of all levels, sectors and localities.
" We still have institutional bottlenecks, which are "bottlenecks of bottlenecks" as General Secretary To Lam pointed out, so we must actively remove these bottlenecks. We must achieve double-digit growth in the next decade to reach the set target ," the Prime Minister emphasized.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien said that achieving the Vietnamese national brand is not only an honor for the honored enterprises but also a common joy and pride for the entire Vietnamese business community, because this is a symbol of creativity and the unceasing commitment of enterprises in building a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
" This result not only affirms the maturity and competitiveness of domestic enterprises, but also demonstrates the efforts, creativity, continuous innovation and pioneering capacity of the Vietnamese business community, contributing to the whole country entering a new era - the era of national development, " said Mr. Dien.

According to Mr. Dien, many Vietnamese corporations and enterprises have realized the role and importance of brands - considered the "key" to increasing product value, business value, ensuring sustainable development, especially in the context of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, digital transformation, and green transformation that are taking place strongly and are inevitable trends on a global scale.
Since then, Vietnamese enterprises have paid more attention to building, developing and managing brands, contributing to improving competitiveness and affirming their position in domestic and foreign markets.
Vietnam National Brand is a unique, long-term and specific trade promotion program of the Government, implemented since 2003, with the goal of promoting the development of the national brand through supporting businesses to build and develop strong brands in the market. Thereby promoting the image of Vietnam as a country with a developed manufacturing industry, with many high-quality goods and services, contributing to improving national competitiveness, raising the position of Vietnamese brands in the domestic and international markets.
Since 2008, the selection of enterprises achieving National Brand has been conducted every two years with the aim of encouraging enterprises to continue sharing and pursuing the values of the program, enhancing pride in Vietnamese products.
