On August 22-23, the 3rd Thai Nguyen Province Religious Culture and Sports Festival 2024 took place in Thai Nguyen with the participation of over 400 athletes, actors, and fans who are dignitaries, officials, religious people, officials, civil servants, and people in the province.

The festival included many activities such as: Volleyball Tournament and Arts Festival. The Volleyball Tournament had 17 teams participating and the Arts Festival had nearly 20 performances including singing, dancing, and music with many special performances praising the Party, State, land and people of Thai Nguyen associated with religious activities.
Activities contribute to promoting good cultural values and religious resources in the cause of economic and social construction and development, ensuring national defense and security, and contributing with the whole people to maintain political stability and social order and safety in the province.

Encourage and motivate dignitaries, officials, religious followers, cadres and civil servants working in religious and belief work to actively participate in and respond to the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" associated with the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life".
Mr. Nguyen Trong Tai, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the festival is an opportunity for religious dignitaries, officials, religious people, cadres and civil servants working in the province to have the opportunity to exchange culture and sports; thereby, enhancing understanding, solidarity and consensus among religions, agencies of the political system and religious organizations.
At the same time, encourage and motivate people, religious followers, cadres and civil servants in the province to actively respond to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" associated with the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life"; contributing to promoting good cultural values, resources of religion and social community in the cause of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security.
At the end of the festival, the organizing committee awarded 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 2 Third Prizes, 4 Encouragement Prizes to the winning teams at the Volleyball Tournament and awarded 9 A prizes, 6 B prizes, 4 C prizes to the winning performances at the Arts Festival.

In Thai Nguyen, there are currently 3 main religions operating: Buddhism, Catholicism and Protestantism with over 1,800 dignitaries, officials, nearly 135,000 followers, 245 religious establishments, 65 places of concentrated religious activities. Over the years, Thai Nguyen has always implemented the consistent viewpoint of the Party and State on religious affairs, paying attention and doing a good job of State management of religion. Thanks to that, religious activities in the province have been stable and in compliance with the provisions of law.
