MAUR informed that the trial operation will be carried out in 2 phases: the first phase will be chaired by Japanese NJPT consultants and the next phase will be carried out by HURC1 Company staff.

"The trial operation will be carried out from now until November 17 with 47 different scenarios, from normal operation to emergency situations such as fire, explosion, power outage, flooding, signal loss, etc. at different locations across the entire route, including elevated sections and in tunnels," MAUR informed.

According to the investor, before the trial operation, the unit also completed signing agreements with the contractor Hitachi and construction contractors on the use of the contractors' equipment for training and trial operation.

During this period, trains will run like commercial operations with an interval of 4 minutes and 30 seconds between trains.

Operators from all positions will be mobilized, including train drivers, dispatchers at the control center (OCC), station staff, etc. A total of 71 employees will participate in the test operation in each shift. It is expected that there will be 2 shifts per day.

In parallel with the trial operation process, BVT system safety assessment consultants (a joint venture of Bureau Veritas of France and TEDI of Vietnam) will monitor, witness and evaluate the proficiency of HURC1 Company's employees in emergency situations.

It is expected that from November 18 to November 30, the System Safety Assessment Consultant will complete the safety assessment reports to submit to the Railway Authority to conduct safety assessment work according to the provisions of the Railway Law.

On that basis, the State Acceptance Council for Construction Works under the Ministry of Construction will conduct acceptance to approve the project for commercial operation, expected in December 2024.

The Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line started construction in August 2012, 19.7km long with 14 stations (11 elevated stations and 3 underground stations) and a depot. The project passes through districts: 1, Binh Thanh, Thu Duc City (HCMC) and Di An City ( Binh Duong ) with a total investment of over 43,000 billion VND.

Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a decision approving the adjustment of the project implementation time, including the completion time of construction at the end of the fourth quarter of 2024. Other contents remain unchanged compared to the decision approved in 2023.

The investor is fully responsible before the law for the content, accuracy and honesty of the information, reported data and submitted documents.

At the same time, MAUR is responsible for organizing the implementation of metro line 1 project in accordance with legal regulations to ensure quality, efficiency, construction completion time and commercial operation of the entire line by the end of this fourth quarter.

HCMC Metro Line 1 still has many problems and is not qualified for acceptance.

To put Ho Chi Minh City metro line 1 into operation by the end of 2024, the investor needs to urgently review and complete existing problems in construction documents and fire prevention and fighting certificates.
