In Son La, after more than 5 years of implementation, the OCOP program has become an important driving force in agricultural and rural development, unleashing the creative potential of people, cooperatives, and businesses. During this evaluation, the Provincial OCOP Council classified and recognized 47 outstanding products (including 46 agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products and 1 tourism product) from 30 entities in 21 communes and wards. Of these, 31 products were newly evaluated, and 16 products were re-evaluated.
The inspection results showed that all products met the criteria and conditions as stipulated. The businesses have invested heavily in upgrading quality, improving designs, production processes, and traceability, aiming for higher rankings and thus increasing product value.
The evaluation and ranking process not only acknowledges the efforts of the businesses but also creates opportunities for Son La OCOP products to further assert their position in the market, aiming for standardization, professionalization, and expansion of consumption markets, especially domestic and international markets.
