To make Vietnamese heritage more widely known.

The group of five students are Nguyen Giang Anh, Tran Nguyen Minh Anh, Le Quang Dat (all from class 12 specializing in Literature 1) and Phan Gia Han, Tran Doan Bao Tran (both from class 12 specializing in History and Geography), Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Ho Chi Minh City.

With the "Journey Through Vietnam" project, the team created a board game (a type of interactive game) where each card, each stage of the journey, represents a cultural heritage, a piece of the Vietnamese puzzle.

Tran Doan Bao Tran, the group leader, said that culture is an important factor in the country's development process, but she observed that currently, forms of learning about culture, especially heritage, are limited and not widely popular among young people.

Meanwhile, Phan Gia Han, born in the ancient town of Hoi An (now part of Da Nang city), carries her love for Hoi An and travels further, "touching" many heritage sites across the country, such as the memorable journey to the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem complex of historical sites and scenic spots, Con Son, and Kiet Bac (located in the provinces of Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh , and the city of Hai Phong today). These heritage sites, with their serene mountains, ancient temples and pagodas, and sacred spaces, carry within them stories of history and national spirit. It is these experiences that make Gia Han want to do something with her friends to spread appreciation and love for heritage to more people.

Five friends sat down together to work on the "Journey Through Vietnam" project, which was presented as a board game.

Specifically, in this game, players will cooperate to gather resources to preserve heritage, while also finding ways to solve the challenges that the heritage sites are facing and how to preserve as much heritage as possible within a given timeframe.

"We believe that when heritage 'enters' the game, with laughter and curiosity, many young people will gain a better understanding of heritage and join hands in preserving it. Through this way of playing, players not only develop teamwork with friends but also learn about heritage information and the importance of preserving cultural heritage," Phan Gia Han said.

Second prize in the city-level startup idea competition for high school and university students.

Currently, a group of students from Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted in Ho Chi Minh City have completed the research, idea development, design, and testing phases, resulting in a complete product. The project has attracted the interest and participation of young people and received positive feedback from users regarding its novelty.

On February 4th, at the city-level final round of the student startup idea competition for the 2025-2026 school year, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the project was awarded second prize.

"From the initial idea to the final product, the team spent about six months. The initial difficulty was that the topic was quite new, with few reference sources, so we did a lot of research and study on our own. Besides that, the biggest challenge was creating a gameplay mechanism suitable for a wide range of audiences, one that was both challenging but not too difficult to understand, making it easily accessible," added Bao Tran, the project leader.
