
On the afternoon of November 28, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City organized the project "Great Unity Tree Garden" in Chanh Hiep Ward with the participation of 500 delegates attending the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2025-2030. Here, 500 rosewood trees were planted, contributing to expanding urban green space and spreading the spirit of responsibility for the environment.

According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, 500 rosewood trees planted in Tuong Binh Hiep 6 neighborhood (Chanh Hiep ward) are a project to welcome the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2025 - 2030.

The activity aims to achieve the goal of increasing green area according to the Resolution of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term, including maintaining a forest cover rate of 11% and aiming to achieve an average of 5.5 m² of urban green trees/person.

The representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said that in order to promote the urban greening movement, the unit has launched the program "City of Colorful Flowers", calling on people, organizations and the community to join hands to build a green - clean - beautiful living space. By planting and caring for green areas on roads, alleys and residential areas, the movement has been attracting widespread response, contributing to creating spaces filled with flowers and promoting the role of the people in building a civilized, modern and affectionate Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, Mr. Dang Van Khoa, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Nature and Environment Protection, presented a symbolic plaque supporting 100,000 trees for the “City of Colorful Flowers” movement; 500 rosewood trees were reserved for planting at the “Great Unity Garden” project. In addition, Mr. Do Anh Long (Thu Dau Mot Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) also supported materials for the project, contributing to spreading the spirit of community responsibility and affection between people.


A representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said that each tree planted today is a commitment to the future, a reminder of the responsibility to preserve nature. We believe that the project will continue to expand, become a green highlight of the city and contribute to nurturing the spirit of solidarity and environmental protection awareness in the community, especially the younger generations.
