60 teachers received training on human rights education.

During the training (January 14-16), teachers received an overview of the following topics from lecturers and experts: Human rights education in the curriculum; the concept, principles, and core values ​​of human rights; formal equality and substantive equality; inclusive education for children with disabilities; the legal framework and responsibilities regarding human rights; responsibilities and obligations to ensure human rights and human rights education; protecting human rights in schools; and human rights education in the Vietnamese curriculum. Teachers were also divided into three groups to practice developing model lesson plans for presentation and feedback in class.

On the morning of January 14th, in Nha Trang ward, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, in collaboration with the Australian Human Rights Commission, held the opening ceremony of a training workshop on human rights education for 60 teachers from preschool, primary, and secondary schools in three provinces: Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, and Lam Dong.

Associate Professor Hoang Van Nghia - Director of the International Cooperation Department, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, delivered the opening remarks at the workshop.

The workshop aims to enhance understanding of human rights and promote human rights education among teachers. Through this, it seeks to strengthen their skills and methods in applying the principles, values, and norms of human rights to teaching and learning activities in schools.
