At noon on June 26, Hospital 199 (Son Tra District, Da Nang City) announced that the unit had received 7 cases of food poisoning, including 2 children who were being treated at the hospital's Emergency and Examination Department.

According to records, at around 10:00 a.m. on June 26, there were 3 patients admitted to the Emergency and Examination Department - Hospital 199.
Ms. Bui Thi P. (33 years old, a tourist from Hanoi ) said that at around 8:00 a.m. on June 26, her child (8 years old) started showing signs of vomiting and diarrhea. Up to now, after receiving an IV, the child has gradually stabilized.
“Before having symptoms, we went to many places in Da Nang city and enjoyed many types of cuisine in Son Tra district,” said Ms. P.

Doctor CKI Cao Thi Xoan, Department of Emergency and Examination - Hospital 199 said that from around 6:10 a.m. to noon on June 26, Hospital 199 received 7 cases of suspected food poisoning. The patients were admitted in a state of vomiting food repeatedly, having abdominal cramps around the navel, and having diarrhea many times.
“The patient said the above symptoms started at 2am on June 26. Currently, the doctor has prescribed medicine, given IV fluids, and performed tests. Almost all patients are stable,” said Dr. Xoan.

Immediately after the tourists were hospitalized, the Son Tra District Health Department and the Da Nang City Food Safety Management Board were present to obtain information about the tourists' schedule, use of food services, and investigate the cause of poisoning.
