8 teams are ready to compete at the Gia Nghia City Boat Racing Festival in 2025

On the afternoon of February 7, at the Floating Island area, Gia Nghia City Central Lake, more than 200 athletes from 8 teams practiced racing before the official competition day.

The 5th Gia Nghia City Boat Racing Festival in 2025 brings together 8 racing teams with more than 200 athletes from communes and wards in the area.

The racing teams will compete in 3 categories, including: men's rowing, women's rowing and mixed rowing.

On the afternoon of February 7, at the Floating Island area, Gia Nghia City Central Lake, more than 200 athletes from 8 teams practiced racing before the official competition day.

Mr. Truong Duc Dinh, Deputy Standing Committee of the Organizing Committee of the 5th Gia Nghia City Boat Racing Festival in 2025, informed that in order for the Festival to take place safely and attractively, in the past time, Gia Nghia City has coordinated with related units to survey and mark the racing track to ensure it is suitable for the actual terrain. The city has deployed security and order, rescue work, and fully prepared the material facilities to serve the tournament.

Athletes are fully equipped with life jackets, ensuring safety before starting the test.

The Dak Nia Commune Boat Racing Team, Gia Nghia City, is a unit with a tradition of boat racing, having been in the top 3 of the tournament for many consecutive years. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Dak Nia Commune Boat Racing Team shared: "To prepare for the 2025 boat racing festival, the athletes have proactively arranged their work to practice together, ready to compete with the determination to compete with all their might and aim for the highest ranking."

In this year's race, the racing teams will compete in 3 categories, including: men's rowing, women's rowing and mixed rowing.

Mr. Tran Manh Khang, Deputy Head of the Nghia Phu Ward Boat Racing Team, said that to achieve the highest results, the team has been actively practicing for the past week, ready to contribute dramatic and exciting competitions.

Although it was just a practice test before the official exam day, all teams tried their best to complete the exam well.

The opening ceremony of the 5th Gia Nghia City Boat Racing Festival in 2025 will take place at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow, February 8, 2025 (January 11, At Ty year) at Floating Island area, Gia Nghia City Central Lake.

The representative of the Organizing Committee awarded the Dak R'moan Commune Boat Racing Team, the team that won the first round of the first trial competition. This is a source of encouragement for the teams participating in the competition tomorrow.
