82 works entered the final round of the 8th National Press Award "For the cause of Vietnamese education"

On the afternoon of November 12, the Ministry of Education and Training held a press conference to summarize the National Press Award "For the cause of Vietnam's education" 2025, to honor authors with outstanding works on the cause of Education - Training and to honor individuals, collectives, and outstanding individuals with many contributions to the cause of educating people.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, Chairman of the Final Jury, emphasized: 2025 marks the 8-year journey of the National Press Award "For the Cause of Vietnam Education " being launched and maintained. The award has become a beautiful symbol of the connection between journalism and education - a place to honor humanistic values, spread faith and aspiration for innovation throughout society. The award is not only a professional activity, but has truly become a spiritual forum for writers for knowledge, for people, for the future of the country.

2025 is the 8th year that the Ministry of Education and Training has presided over and coordinated with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnam Journalists Association to organize the National Press Award "For the cause of Vietnamese education".

The award attracted more than 800 entries in four types of journalism : Print, Electronic, Radio and Television. Of these, 82 were finalists.

The Final Jury proposed 4 First prizes; 8 Second prizes; 12 Third prizes, 36 Encouragement prizes and 2 typical characters in 2 winning works.

Besides the central press agencies, many localities - from mountainous areas, islands to remote areas - have contributed their voices and breath of life to the vivid picture of Vietnamese education today.

In particular, many works have accompanied the industry in promoting the spirit of innovation, demonstrating the determination to build a humane, open and integrated education - where each learner develops their capacity and qualities in accordance with the spirit of "lifelong learning, learning to be human".

"An emotional highlight of this year's season is the honoring of two outstanding characters selected from hundreds of touching stories. They are the epitome of compassion, determination and aspiration to rise up - the core values ​​that make up the soul of Vietnamese education," said Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi.

The Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association affirmed that each entry is not only the crystallization of the creative work of journalists, but also a strong message about the society's trust in education. The press continues to be a companion, a critical voice, a source of inspiration for the education sector on the path of fundamental and comprehensive innovation.

Sharing at the press conference, Journalist Trieu Ngoc Lam, Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper, emphasized: The entries show the clear maturity of the education journalism team: from the way of choosing topics, processing data, to modern, multimedia presentation methods.

Many series of articles have reflected on current issues of the industry such as: implementing the 2025 Teachers Law, summarizing the 2018 General Education Program, developing digital education and artificial intelligence in teaching and learning, promoting skills education, school psychology, or initiatives on happy, safe, and creative schools.

According to journalist Trieu Ngoc Lam, the quality of works is consistent, the gap between central and local press is narrowed. Many works are authentic, touching, touching, showing the dedication of reporters, and have a high impact on society.

The National Press Award "For the Cause of Vietnamese Education" is held annually, demonstrating the attention of the Ministry of Education and Training to press agencies across the country, because the press has always accompanied the education sector in the innovation process.

The closing and award ceremony will be held on November 14, 2025, at Au Co Theater, Hanoi.
