Agribank supports Dak Lak people to overcome storm No. 13

Agribank visited, encouraged and provided timely support of more than 400 million VND to people and schools severely damaged by storm No. 13 in Dak Lak.

Implementing the working program of the Executive Board, from the afternoon of November 11-12, the Agribank delegation led by Mr. Vuong Hong Linh, Deputy General Director of Agribank, came to work at Agribank Phu Yen Branch. Also attending were representatives of the leaders of the Head Office Departments (Finance - Accounting; Credit Policy; Investment Management), Agribank Representative Office in the Central region and comrades in the Board of Directors, Heads of Business Departments and Directors of Type II Branches, Directors of Transaction Offices under Agribank Phu Yen Branch.

Under the chairmanship of Deputy General Director Vuong Hong Linh, the delegation had a direct working session at Song Cau Branch and Phu Yen Branch, and also visited, encouraged and shared with staff at Xuan Loc Transaction Office, Song Cau Branch, where there was a lot of damage caused by storm No. 13.

At the meeting, Agribank Phu Yen Branch reported on the damage caused by storm No. 13 with an estimated total value of more than 2 billion VND, mainly damage to the brand identity system, corrugated iron roofs, electrical equipment, machinery, and facilities at affiliated units.

As of October 31, 2025, the Branch has achieved positive business results: Total mobilized capital increased by nearly 13%, outstanding loans increased by 12% compared to the beginning of the year, total service revenue reached more than 76 billion VND, the difference between revenue and expenditure after provisioning reached over 350 billion VND. The Branch proposed that the Head Office consider supporting funding to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, supplementing social security resources worth 2 billion VND, supporting affected workers and adjusting some business plan targets for 2025.

In his speech, Deputy General Director Vuong Hong Linh evaluated and analyzed each operational target, and proposed a number of timely solutions to help the branch strive to successfully complete the assigned targets. At the same time, he shared and encouraged the difficulties and losses that the Branch and the locality are suffering; acknowledged the spirit of solidarity and efforts to develop business activities of the entire branch, and requested the Branch to continue promoting the tradition of Agribank, proactively accompanying customers and people to overcome the consequences after the storm. For officers and employees who suffered a lot of damage to their houses and means of transportation, the Branch needs to pay attention, and any difficulties and problems need to be reported to the Head Office for support, in order to ensure a stable life and peace of mind at work.

Provide direct support, spread the message of sharing

Within the framework of the working program, the delegation visited and directly presented 410 million VND in support to 6 households whose houses were completely collapsed due to storm No. 13 in Xuan Canh, Xuan Loc, Tuy An Bac, Tuy An Dong communes and Song Cau ward. Each household received 60 million VND in support. The delegation also presented 50 million VND to Phu Mo Primary School (Phu Mo commune) which was deeply flooded, with books, desks, chairs, and teaching equipment severely damaged.

Deputy General Director Vuong Hong Linh shared: “Storm No. 13 has left behind many losses, but Agribank hopes that this support will be the motivation for people to soon rebuild their houses and stabilize their lives. Agribank always accompanies the government and people in the journey to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.”

Moved by the support, Mr. Ly Van Bang (Xuan Canh commune) expressed: “The storm collapsed our house and damaged all our belongings. In the most difficult time, Agribank came to share and provide support. This amount of 60 million VND is very precious, it gives us more confidence to start over.”

Representative of the local government, Mr. Phan Tran Van Huy, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Xuan Canh commune, said: "The timely and practical support of Agribank is of special importance in the context of the locality overcoming the consequences of storm No. 13. It is not only material support, but also sharing and spiritual encouragement to help people feel more confident to overcome difficulties. Hopefully, in the coming time, Agribank will continue to accompany the government and people in social security programs in the area."

The timely presence of the Agribank delegation, handing over meaningful gifts to people in storm-hit areas even at night, contributed to spreading the message of humanity, sharing and responsibility to the community, affirming the image of "Agribank - Bank for "agriculture", for people and sustainable development of the country.
