Agribank gives 360 million VND in emergency support to households whose houses collapsed due to storm No. 13

On the afternoon of November 11, a working delegation of the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) led by Mr. Vuong Hong Linh, Deputy General Director of Agribank, visited and provided support to households that suffered heavy losses due to storm No. 13 in localities in the east of Dak Lak province.

Agribank Deputy General Director Vuong Hong Linh presented a symbolic board of support worth 60 million VND to the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa in Tho Loc village (Xuan Loc commune).

Accordingly, 6 households whose houses collapsed due to storm No. 13 in Tuy An Dong, Tuy An Bac, Xuan Canh, Xuan Loc communes and Song Cau ward were supported by Agribank with 60 million VND/household.

The total support fund of 360 million VND was given directly after the storm, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and community responsibility of Agribank staff and employees.

Agribank Deputy General Director Vuong Hong Linh discussed with Song Cau ward leaders about supporting house construction for Ms. Tran Thi Nga's household in Phu Duong residential group.

At the families who came to give the gifts, Agribank Deputy General Director Vuong Hong Linh shared: "Storm No. 13 passed, leaving behind serious consequences. Immediately after receiving information about the damage, Agribank decided to provide emergency support to the people. We hope that this support amount will be an important initial resource, helping households to soon rebuild their houses, overcome the difficult period to stabilize their lives."

“In the coming time, Agribank will continue to coordinate with local authorities to deploy many support solutions to help people restore production after natural disasters,” Mr. Vuong Hong Linh added.

Mr. Ly Van Bang's family in Binh Thanh village (Xuan Canh commune) received 60 million VND in support to rebuild the house collapsed by storm No. 13.

Receiving the support from Agribank, the households were moved. Mr. Ly Van Bang in Xuan Canh commune said: "Storm No. 13 collapsed our house, damaged all our belongings, we don't know what to do. At this time, the support of 60 million VND from Agribank is very valuable. This is a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping the family have more faith and motivation to rebuild their lives."

Representative of the local government, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Xuan Canh Commune Phan Tran Van Huy expressed: "The timely and practical support of Agribank is of special importance in the context that the locality is actively implementing the work of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 13, especially the reconstruction of houses for people. Hopefully, in the coming time, Agribank will continue to accompany and implement many social security activities in the area."

Agribank Deputy General Director Vuong Hong Linh encouraged Ms. Nguyen Thi Ke in Can Luong village (Tuy An Bac commune) to overcome difficulties, soon rebuild her house, and stabilize her life.

The Agribank working group's quick presence, direct visits and support contributed to spreading the message of humanity and sharing in the community, helping people overcome difficulties after natural disasters.
