AirAsia officially opens Hanoi - Luang Prabang route

DNVN - On December 2, Thai AirAsia (flight code FD) officially announced the successful launch of the direct flight route Hanoi - Luang Prabang under the Commercial Rights.

The route will operate with a frequency of 1 flight/day from December 1, 2025, marking an important step in Thai AirAsia's strategy of expanding the market as well as consolidating its regional flight network.

This milestone once again affirms Thai AirAsia's long-term commitment to promoting business, connecting Vietnam and the world .

On the occasion of its opening, AirAsia is offering a promotional program for the Hanoi - Luang Prabang route with ticket prices starting from only VND 1,790,000/way. Promotional tickets are available for sale from now until December 7, 2025 on AirAsia MOVE, AirAsia's official website and other ticket sales channels with flight times from January 6 to March 28, 2026. This route is operated by an Airbus A320 with a 180-seat configuration.

Currently, Thai AirAsia (FD) is the airline operating the most direct flights between Thailand and Vietnam with 6 routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc to Bangkok (Don Mueang) and Hanoi to Chiang Mai with an average seat occupancy rate of 87% in the period from January 11, 2025. At the same time, Thai AirAsia Group continues to maintain a wide flight network connecting Vietnam with countries in the ASEAN region with 16 routes at 7 destinations, operating more than 27 flights per day.
