In a peaceful house in village 5 (Kim Hoa commune), the family of Mr. Doan Quang Trung (born in 1937) still maintains a harmonious lifestyle with four generations gathered together. Mr. Trung is a veteran, having spent years participating in the resistance war against the US to save the country (from 1960-1971) and then returned to his hometown to continue working and taking care of building his family life.

Now 88 years old, he is still lucid, takes care of his daily activities and often gathers with his children and grandchildren. The image of him sitting on the porch, gently reminding his children and grandchildren to live in harmony and love each other has become the spiritual support of the whole extended family.
Continuing these values, generations of descendants in the extended family join hands to preserve and promote the family tradition. Mr. Doan Quang Luan and his wife, Ms. Cao Thi Gam, always strive to nurture the family economy with a herd of 12 deer and 2 hectares of oranges. In addition to production, members also actively participate in the village movement, voluntarily donating more than 300 square meters of land to expand the inter-village traffic route.

From that tradition, the younger generation in the family also consciously continued with simple but practical actions. Mr. Doan Quoc Cuong (born in 1999) and his wife, Ms. Dao Thuy Nguyen (born in 2002), after stabilizing their own lives, proactively helped their parents take care of their daily lives.
The appearance of baby Doan Minh Khang (born 2024) makes the home even warmer, extending the natural bond between generations.

Mr. Luan shared: “In a large family, maintaining harmony is not something that comes naturally. Everything must be discussed and exchanged so that everything goes smoothly. We always teach our children and grandchildren to respect and think of each other, so the atmosphere is always happy. Thanks to that, the generations continue to love each other and maintain the traditions left by their grandparents.”
Mr. Nguyen Van Mai's family (in village 8) is also a four-generation family mentioned by Kim Hoa commune residents as a model of consensus and solidarity.

Mr. Mai's father - Mr. Nguyen Van Man (born in 1947) participated in the resistance war against the US from 1971 to 1978. After being discharged from the army, he returned to his hometown to participate in social work in roles such as: militia, commune People's Council delegate, agricultural cooperative accountant...
With a calm and proper lifestyle, he has become a spiritual support and role model for his children and grandchildren. Mr. Man shared: "Each generation has its own way of life, but the most important thing is that members always respect and love each other. Seeing my children and grandchildren being polite and respectful to their elders makes me happy."

In Mr. Mai's four-generation family, a harmonious lifestyle is maintained thanks to the closeness and sharing of all members. His mother, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh (born in 1950), plays the role of connecting the family. His wife, Mrs. Tran Thi Thuyet, always manages daily activities. His two children, Nguyen Anh Tuan (born in 1999) and Nguyen Thi Thuy Hien (born in 2002), although working in Nghe An , still arrange to come home regularly. Mr. Tuan's wife, Ms. Luong Thi Thu Hien (born in 2002), stays at home to take care of their 1-year-old daughter and joins hands with everyone to maintain the warmth of the extended family.
On that foundation, Mr. Mai's family economy is also built in a comprehensive direction. The family currently has 1 hectare of oranges, 2 hectares of acacia forest garden, a herd of 10 deer, and also raises cows, sows, poultry... After retiring from the People's Council of Ham Truong commune (July 2025), Mr. Mai and his wife focus full time on renovating the hill garden, expanding barns and improving production efficiency, aiming to develop a sustainable family economy.

Mr. Mai shared: “When there is harmony in the family, everything from production to daily life goes smoothly, and everyone is in a good mood. Unity and working together to build a family is the strength of the whole family.”
Those simple values became the "glue" that connected the members of Mr. Mai's family. Ms. Luong Thi Thu Hien - Mr. Mai's daughter-in-law confided: "Each generation in the family, although having their own way of thinking and habits, all know how to give in and support each other. Thanks to that, childcare, housework and daily activities are divided reasonably, creating a warm and happy atmosphere."
The common point of the four-generation families in Kim Hoa commune is the solidarity and spirit of preserving traditional family customs. The elderly live exemplary lives, the children are filial, contributing to creating a peaceful life. Not only that, these families also actively participate in movements such as: building cultural life, building new rural areas, promoting local education and talents.
Evaluating the four-generation families in the area, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Ha - Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Society (People's Committee of Kim Hoa Commune) said: "Families with many generations living together are an important foundation of the movement to build cultural families in the locality. The harmony and responsibility between generations not only preserves tradition but also creates solidarity in the community."
