From shock and fear to the day of safe return.

Over the past period, Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital has regularly received thank-you letters from patients and their families. Each simple line conveys deep trust and gratitude after stressful days, when they crossed the fragile line between life and danger.

In a two-page letter addressed to the Board of Directors, the Head of Department, and the entire team of doctors, nurses, and technicians of the Cardiovascular Intervention Department, Mr. P.D.T., the husband of patient HTQ (68 years old, residing in Cam Lo commune, Quang Tri province), could not hide his emotions when recalling the moment his family received the devastating news.

"My wife was diagnosed with a stroke and multiple coronary artery stenosis. When we received this diagnosis, my whole family was truly shocked and frightened. The images of our loved one's life-threatening condition kept us awake at night. In that difficult moment, we sought help at Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital and placed our complete trust in the medical team there," Mr. T. wrote.

Thank you letter from Mr. P.Đ.T., husband of patient HTQ

According to the letter, from the moment of hospitalization, the family received attentive care and support. The doctors conducted thorough examinations, used modern diagnostic equipment, and clearly explained the coronary artery stenosis, helping the family understand the severity of the condition and the treatment plan. This transparency and thoroughness helped the family gradually regain their composure and trust.

Due to severe coronary artery stenosis, the doctors decided to perform an intervention to place two stents to open up the coronary arteries. The intervention was successful. The results after the procedure exceeded expectations; the patient's health recovered quickly, progressed positively, and they were discharged after 4 days of treatment in a stable condition.

Besides mentioning their solid expertise and high level of skill, Mr. T. also expressed his gratitude for the kind attitude, encouragement, and support from each doctor and nurse. For his family, this success is not only a technical achievement but also a testament to the sense of responsibility and compassionate hearts of the medical professionals.

A thank-you letter from Mr. H's family to the doctor.

In another letter, the family of Mr. LQH (born in 1965, residing in Lien Hoa village, Tan Lap commune, Quang Tri province) stated that Mr. H. was hospitalized with a severe tetanus infection and a poor prognosis. The first few days of treatment were a time of great anxiety and stress for his relatives.

According to the letter, throughout the treatment period, the family witnessed firsthand the high sense of responsibility, solid professional skills, and attentive care of the medical team. Not only did the doctors and nurses focus on treatment with a strict protocol, but they also regularly encouraged, comforted, and strengthened the patient and their family. Thanks to this dedication, the patient overcame the critical stage and gradually recovered. For the family, it was a miracle after a long period of anxiety and worry.

In the letter, the patient's relatives emotionally wrote about the spirit of "doctors as compassionate as mothers," about the silent sacrifices and selfless dedication of the medical team to the patients. Beyond treating illnesses with medicine, the doctors and nurses also encouraged, comforted, and instilled faith and strength in the patients and their families during difficult times.

According to the leaders of Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital, these thank-you letters help the medical staff feel that their efforts are recognized by patients and make them even more proud of their work. This also serves as motivation for the hospital's staff to strive and work harder in their never-ending journey of treating and saving lives.

"We identify professional development as a central and ongoing task. In the coming time, the hospital will continue to update, transfer, and master advanced and specialized techniques to improve the quality of treatment. At the same time, digital transformation and administrative reform are strategic directions to gradually modernize the management and provision of medical services."

"The hospital's goal is to use the quality of treatment and patient satisfaction as the benchmark for all development values," said Dr. Phan Xuan Nam, Director of the hospital.

10 years of dedication to the hospital - A heartfelt expression of gratitude from patients.

Not only in Quang Tri, but also in Nghe An , stories of gratitude towards doctors are written in heartfelt words. At the Nghe An Oncology Hospital, a 79-year-old patient expressed her gratitude after nearly 10 years of treatment for a serious illness.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan (residing in Nghi Loc commune, Nghe An province) shared that she has spent more time in the hospital than at home. The hospital has gradually become her second home, and the doctors and nurses have become like family.

Doctor Nguyen Dinh Hieu (standing in the middle) is always dedicated to his patients.

During that journey, she expressed her gratitude to the leaders of the Nghe An Department of Health, the leaders of the Nghe An Oncology Hospital, and especially to Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hieu, Head of the General Surgery Department, who directly treated her throughout the long period.

For her, the doctor was not only highly skilled professionally but also possessed a kind heart and a strong sense of responsibility. During her most exhausting and confusing moments, the doctor's thoughtfulness, gentleness, and dedication gave her the strength to overcome her illness. Every word of encouragement, every comforting glance, was like a precious dose of spiritual medicine.

"A good doctor is like a loving mother," she wrote, adding that she had truly understood that saying through her own life. For years, doctors and medical staff have silently dedicated themselves, working day and night, hoping only that patients would recover and return safely to their families.

On the occasion of Vietnamese Doctors' Day, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan sent her best wishes for good health to all medical staff and dedicated simple verses of poetry to her treating doctors as a token of her gratitude.

The poem dedicated to the doctor contains the following content:

Your family is truly blessed.

Meeting Uncle Hieu brought me nothing to worry about.

This is what a compassionate and exemplary doctor looks like.

Good qualities are like the majestic trees of the forest.

Noble and utterly simple,

Saving lives and curing illnesses without regard for personal gain or fame.

Bring all the knowledge you've learned.

Quietly providing treatment, many have achieved success.

Thank you, medical ethics specialist.

Always worthy, the medical profession is warm and welcoming.
