'Weekend Music' at the Octagonal House: A new cultural space in the heart of the old town

On the afternoon of November 30 at the Octagonal House (Ly Thai To Flower Garden, Hanoi), the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports will open the first art performance within the framework of the "Weekend Music" project. The event opens a series of cultural activities for the community right in the middle of the historical space of Hoan Kiem Lake.

The “Weekend Music” project was built with the hope of turning the Octagonal House, a cultural icon located in the middle of Ly Thai To Flower Garden, into a familiar meeting place for art lovers. Here, music will blend with the Hoan Kiem Lake landscape, bringing intimate and unique moments of enjoying art.

The opening program featured Meritorious Artist Quyen Van Minh, Binh Minh Jazz Club, along with many singers, lecturers and students from professional art training institutions. The combination of veteran artists and young forces promises to bring quality, emotional performances, creating strong attraction for the upcoming series of programs.

According to the plan, the project will continue to expand with many diverse performance types such as folk music, classical music, pop music, etc., contributing to the formation of a rich cultural space, serving a large number of people and tourists.
