On November 13, the Department of Culture and Sports of An Giang province said that specialized units are urgently completing preparations for the opening ceremony of the large-scale propaganda poster exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026). Next, on the evening of November 15, at Hai Ba Trung Square, Long Xuyen Ward, the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Residential Area Mass Arts Festival will take place.
According to the Plan for coordinating the organization of the National Residential Area Mass Art Festival and the Exhibition of large-scale propaganda posters to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) issued by the People's Committee of An Giang province, the National Residential Area Mass Art Festival will take place from November 15-18, opening at 7:30 p.m. on November 15 at Hai Ba Trung Square, Long Xuyen Ward, An Giang Province. Art troupes participating in the Festival will perform from November 16 to 18. The Festival's Closing Ceremony and Award Ceremony will be on November 19.
The festival is an opportunity for cultural villages, hamlets and neighborhoods to meet, exchange, learn experiences, exchange good practices and effective measures in implementing the movement to build cultural villages, hamlets and neighborhoods. Thereby, replicating advanced examples, models, good practices and creativity of typical cultural residential areas; encouraging mass cultural and artistic movements at the grassroots level; preserving and promoting traditional cultural values and promoting the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" to become more and more practical and effective.
There are 12 mass art troupes from provinces and cities participating in this year's Festival including: An Giang, Hanoi , Quang Ngai, Son La, Tay Ninh, Phu Tho, Da Nang, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Can Tho, Quang Ninh, Vinh Long.

The exhibition of large-scale propaganda posters to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) took place from November 14-29 at Nguyen Trung Truc Monument Park, Rach Gia Ward, An Giang Province. The opening ceremony will take place at 4:00 p.m. on November 14, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of An Giang Province.
The exhibition displays 150 large-scale propaganda paintings vividly depicting the following themes: Historical traditions of the Vietnamese National Assembly; spirit of great national unity; people's mastery; and outstanding achievements of the country under the leadership of the Party, State and National Assembly of Vietnam.
Through the works displayed at the exhibition, propaganda and education about the glorious historical tradition of the Vietnamese National Assembly throughout the 80-year journey of attachment and companionship with the nation in the struggle for independence, freedom and national unification as well as in the cause of building, protecting and developing the country, at the same time honoring and expressing gratitude for the great merits and contributions of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels through the periods.
Enhance the position and image of the Vietnamese National Assembly in the international arena; contribute to consolidating and fostering the trust of the people and voters in the Vietnamese National Assembly as well as the cause of national renewal and international integration under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
