Notably, in this 33rd SEA Games, Vietnam has about 200 reporters registered to cover the news, the host organizing committee only approved 8 reporters to enter the stadium to cover the opening ceremony.
Among those 8 "lucky" reporters will include 3 photojournalists and 5 writers, including a Tuoi Tre Online reporter.
Also according to the morning of December 9, reporters not on the work list were not allowed to be present in the press room at the stadium.
The organizers and security forces asked all reporters without wristbands to leave. The reason given was to ensure security for the opening ceremony because the King and Queen of Thailand were in attendance.

The opening ceremony is expected to have a 5-chapter art program.
Initially, the host country Thailand planned to hold the SEA Games opening ceremony outside the stadium, inspired by the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, due to many factors, the program was moved inside Rajamangala Stadium and held in the traditional style.
The 33rd SEA Games took place from December 9 to 20, gathering 9,366 athletes from 11 delegations, competing in 50 sports and 574 events. Vietnam participated with 1,165 members, including 842 athletes.
Tuoi Tre Online will broadcast live the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games from 6:30 p.m. on December 9. Tuoi Tre Online reporters in Thailand and Rajamangala Stadium will send readers the latest images of the biggest sports festival in Southeast Asia.
