This activity carries profound political , social, and humanitarian significance, vividly demonstrating the close, blood-bond relationship between the military and the people in the revolutionary base area.

In the warm atmosphere of the days leading up to the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, the festival took place vibrantly with many practical and meaningful activities, attracting the participation of hundreds of officers, soldiers, and local people.

Within the framework of the program, delegates respectfully offered incense and flowers at the memorial monument for the heroic martyrs of Yang Mao commune; distributed 2,000 leaflets to disseminate legal education; visited and presented over 1,100 gifts to the Party Committee, People's Committee, Military Command of the commune and policy beneficiaries; organized a "zero-cost" booth to provide gifts to over 500 households in the area; organized free medical examinations and dispensed free medicine to nearly 300 people; and donated 15 bicycles to poor students who excelled in their studies... with a total expenditure of over 1.4 billion VND.

Alongside these are activities steeped in traditional culture such as: rice cake wrapping and cooking competitions; free haircuts; cultural and sports exchanges and folk games… contributing to a joyful and warm Tet atmosphere, spreading the spirit of camaraderie between the military and the people in remote areas.

Speaking at the event, Colonel Dinh Van Hung, Political Commissar of the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command, said: "This activity has profound political, social, and humanitarian significance, demonstrating the national tradition of 'drinking water, remembering the source'; and at the same time affirming the role, responsibility, and affection of the provincial armed forces in caring for the material and spiritual lives of the people. Through this event, the close-knit relationship between the military and the people is further strengthened and promoted; the spirit of mutual support and compassion is widely spread, contributing to sharing the difficulties with the poor, especially in remote and disadvantaged areas."

The "Spring Festival of Zone 5 Unity - A Warm and Affectionate Tet for the Military and the People" not only brought a fulfilling and warm Tet to the people of Yang Mao commune, but also contributed to strengthening the people's trust in the Party, the State, and the Army; building a strong national defense, consolidating a solid "people's support" base, and creating an important foundation for building and firmly protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland in the new situation.
