Nguyen Thi Khanh Dieu, a student at the School of Engineering, Phenikaa University, is not just talking about technology. She is telling the story of Vietnamese youth: Dare to change, dare to dream and steadfastly pursue their passion to become “the Number 1 version of themselves”.
The turning point from paper to circuit board
Born in Ha Tinh , Dieu spent 3 years studying for the A1 exam, but was also the valedictorian of the D exam at Ly Tu Trong High School and passed the Banking and Finance major at Foreign Trade University with a score of nearly 28.

It seemed like the path was predetermined: gentle, stable and “suitable for girls”, but life for Dieu opened up a different path, bolder and more brilliant. When receiving a full scholarship from Phenikaa University, Dieu decided to switch to the Electrical - Electronics industry, entering the world of components, circuits and electromagnetic waves, things she had never touched before.
The first year was a shock. She had to learn almost from scratch: electromagnetism, circuit simulation, programming… However, instead of giving up, she chose to recharge, keep the passion burning and persevere every day, in the true spirit of a young person “steadfast in passion, never back down”.
Every night, when the lights in the lab are off, Dieu still perseveres with the lines of code, simulating the antenna dozens of times just to find out why the radiation is not up to standard.
When stressed, she reached for the bottle of Number 1, opened the cap, took a sip to find a feeling of refreshment.
“The strong, explosive flavor of Number 1 energizes me, helps me wake up immediately, increases my concentration and makes me more determined and enthusiastic. I tell myself: 'Just try a little more'. And so I sit back down at the table and continue simulating ,” Dieu laughed.

From those sleepless nights, Dieu realized that the most precious thing was not the result, but the feeling that she was getting stronger and more persistent with her chosen passion day by day. More importantly, she always had Number 1 by her side to energize her, overcome seemingly impossible limits and become a better version of herself.
From inanimate components to the heartbeat of human technology
Fate brought Dieu to the field of antennas - something that seemed to only belong to telecommunications engineers, but opened up a humane direction for her: applying antennas in medical equipment and health care.
For her, antennas are “the bridge between technology and human life.” A tiny antenna embedded in a patch that monitors heart rate, or a sensor that sends signals to a remote medical center, is when dry technology becomes soulful.

“Technology only truly makes sense when it serves people ,” Dieu said. “Each antenna or biomedical sensor simulation, in my eyes, is not simply engineering, but a small step to make life safer.”
Late at night, alone in the lab, with only the light from the computer screen and the steady sound of the cooling fan blending into the quiet space, Dieu opened the cap of the Number 1 bottle, the "click" sound filled with excitement. Just one sip awakened the energy waiting to explode inside her.

“Whenever I feel like I'm at my limit, Number 1 is always the source of energy that helps me regain focus and alertness. Thanks to that, I learn how to stand firm under pressure, not give up, persevere with my passion and move forward stronger after each challenge ,” she smiled.
With that spirit, the young girl has conquered a series of remarkable achievements: 5 international scientific articles, of which 3 are the main author, the 2025 Vietnam Science and Technology Female Student Award and is a familiar face at conferences at home and abroad.
Behind every success are countless failures, but they are also clear proof of Dieu's philosophy of life: "No road is too far, only people do not have enough passion to go all the way."

Female student Nguyen Thi Khanh Dieu shares her experiences of studying and doing scientific research at school. For Dieu, every day of research and every night of working on the antenna simulation is like being recharged with energy.
Sometimes, just a sip of cold Number 1 is enough to help her stay awake, focused and fuel the never-ending fire of passion to become a better version of herself.
Journey Number 1: From a female science and technology student spreading inspiration to millions of young Vietnamese people
If rapper Den - brand ambassador of Number 1 tells his passionate journey through music, Khanh Dieu chooses antennas and circuits to tell his scientific story.
Both represent the young generation of Vietnam: Dare to dream, dare to act; quietly and persistently conquer dreams no matter how bumpy the road is.
For Dieu, every failed trial and error, every deviation in the graph is a necessary "bumpy stretch" to find a better version of herself.

From a small lab to a big dream, Nguyen Thi Khanh Dieu is the image of young Vietnamese people - always energized and passionate to become her own version of "Number 1".
Dieu’s story is not only the journey of a young researcher. It is also a reflection of thousands of students working hard in the lab, of engineers experimenting day and night, of young people constantly re-energizing themselves to move forward.
And somewhere, in factories, lecture halls, labs or studios, there are still millions of young Vietnamese people: from workers, engineers, doctors, teachers to artists who are passionate, dare to dream, dare to conquer and keep moving forward.
Because the journey to rise is never a race with others, but a journey of energizing and sustaining passion to become the Number 1 version of yourself.
