With more than 200 million pounds to buy 3 new players, Arsenal has set a transfer record in Emirates history and can make a leap forward to compete with Man City.

In just a few weeks, the Arsenal board have been reluctant to pull out their chequebooks for major operations.

Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice are the three golden reinforcements for the team that finished second in regret in the last Premier League season.

Players from different lines from Chelsea, West Ham and Ajax came to the Emirates Stadium to improve the "Gunners".

Quality comes at a price. Arsenal spent more than £200m in the summer transfer market, the most in the club's history.

Kai Havertz cost Arsenal a total of £65m. Timber came in for £34.3m, excluding add-ons. And the most expensive was Declan Rice, with Arsenal having to go all out in negotiations with West Ham. The deal was completed for £105m, making the 24-year-old the most expensive English player in history.

At a total of £204.3 million (€238 million), no rival in England or Europe can match the amount of money Arsenal have invested.

Since the 2021-22 season, the Emirates Stadium team has continuously increased spending on transfers.

In the summer of 2021, the North London team spent £142.95 million on a series of new contracts. The most expensive was Ben White with £50 million.

Last season, the club invested a total of £155.5 million in two transfer windows. The standout player was Gabriel Jesus, who cost £45 million from Man City.

After a tumultuous few weeks, two of the three new signings this summer are among the top three most expensive transfers in the club's history. Declan Rice leads the way, followed by Nicolas Pepe (£72m) and Kai Havertz.

Declan Rice's deal is very close to Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez deal, £106.8m - the highest ever for an English club.

Arsenal and Chelsea have the highest-paid contracts in Premier League history, far surpassing the two Manchester clubs. Man City's record is Jack Grealish (£100 million), while MU's is Pogba (£89).

Since 2020, when Mikel Arteta first entered the transfer market as Arsenal manager, the London team has had nearly 20 new signings.

From Gabriel Magalhaes and Thomas Partey to Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber, alongside the likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fabio Vieira. A significant number of signings, although not everyone has performed to expectations.

The Gunners' spending since Mikel Arteta's arrival has skyrocketed to £588m in just over three years, all with one goal in mind: winning the Premier League, something they haven't achieved since 2003-04.
