Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano used the familiar phrase "Here we go" to confirm the transfer was completed on the afternoon of July 14 (Hanoi time). The source further confirmed that Arsenal spent 20 million euros on Mosquera. The player will undergo a medical examination this weekend.
The London club sees Mosquera as an ideal backup for key duo William Saliba and Gabriel, after failing to sign Dean Huijsen from Real Madrid. Mosquera is the versatile defender that Arteta is looking for, able to play on the right and at full-back when needed.
Mosquera has made 90 appearances for Valencia's first team, including 41 last season. He is also a regular at Spain's youth levels, having represented the under-21s 10 times, including against England at the 2025 European Championship.
