Australia is deeply saddened by the loss of life and damage caused by the storms and floods. This additional funding will be delivered through the Australian Humanitarian Partnership (AHP), in close collaboration with the Government of Vietnam. We will ensure the most vulnerable, including women, children and people with disabilities, can access the support they need.
Ambassador Gillian Bird said: “I would like to express my deepest condolences to all those affected by the recent floods and storms in central Vietnam. Australia is committed to providing assistance where it is needed most. We are working with partners to provide assistance and help communities recover and rebuild.
