
According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, from February 18th to 22nd (the 2nd to 6th day of the Lunar New Year), the Northern and North Central regions will experience cold and freezing weather, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold. The South Central region, the Central Highlands, and the Southern region will have sunny days.
Northern region:
- February 2nd - 3rd (Lunar New Year): Scattered light rain, cold weather. Lowest temperature 16-19°C, below 13°C in mountainous areas. Highest temperature 19-23°C (above 25°C in Northwest Vietnam).
- February 4-6 (Lunar New Year): Fog in the morning, light rain in some areas. Highest temperature 17-21 degrees Celsius, 28 degrees Celsius in the Northwest region.
Hanoi City: From the 2nd to the 3rd day of Tet (Lunar New Year), there will be occasional showers, and the weather will be cold with temperatures ranging from 17-23 degrees Celsius. From the 4th day of Tet onwards, the weather will gradually warm up, with a maximum temperature of 23-26 degrees Celsius, but it will be cold at night and in the early morning.
From Thanh Hoa to Hue: From the 2nd to the 4th day of Tet, there will be scattered showers, with cold nights and mornings. Temperatures will range from 17-27 degrees Celsius. From the 5th day of Tet onwards, there will be fog in the early morning, followed by sunny afternoons, with temperatures rising to 24-27 degrees Celsius.
Da Nang to Binh Thuan: Sunny during the day, scattered showers at night in some areas. The northern part (Da Nang - Khanh Hoa) will have scattered rain until the 4th day of Tet. Lowest temperature 21-25 degrees Celsius, highest temperature 28-32 degrees Celsius.
Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam: Little rain, strong sunshine during the day. Central Highlands temperatures 17-31°C. Southern Vietnam hot weather 32-35°C, with some areas in the East exceeding 35°C.
