The Bac Giang Provincial Forest Protection Department has just issued a Notice to the People's Committees of districts, towns, cities, forest owners and Forest Protection Departments on forest fire forecast levels.
According to the weather forecast of the Bac Giang Hydrometeorological Station and the monitoring synthesis of the Bac Giang Forestry Department, by November 15, 2024, the weather situation in the province will be no rain at night, little cloud during the day, dry and sunny, combined with continuously decreasing air humidity and combustible material humidity, localities are having forest fire forecast levels at level IV (dangerous level) and level V (extremely dangerous level), so the risk of forest fires is very high.
Specifically, the forest fire forecast level in Son Dong, Luc Ngan, and Luc Nam districts is at level IV. The forest fire forecast level in Yen The, Lang Giang, Tan Yen, Hiep Hoa, Yen Dung districts, Viet Yen town, and Bac Giang city is at level V.
In order to effectively prevent and fight forest fires and minimize damage when forest fires occur, the Forest Protection Department requests the District People's Committee to urgently and resolutely strengthen inspection and urge the commune-level authorities, forest owners and grassroots Forest Protection forces to immediately implement forest fire prevention and fighting measures according to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 47 of Decree 156/2018/ND-CP dated November 16, 2018 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Forestry Law and Article 4, Regulations on forest fire forecast levels and forest fire forecast lookup table in Bac Giang province issued together with Decision No. 66/2021/QD-UBND dated November 30, 2021 of the Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee.
Provide timely information on forest fire risk forecasts and warnings, regulations on fire use in forests and forest edges, and daily forest fire situations in the locality on mass media. When a forest fire occurs, mobilize forces and means to extinguish it promptly; investigate and verify the fire and track down the perpetrators for strict handling according to the provisions of law.
