Bac Ha: Organizing training courses on management and operation skills of tourist accommodation facilities

On November 27, at the Sao Mai Hotel auditorium, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province organized a training course on management and operation skills of tourist accommodation establishments in 2025 for trainees representing accommodation establishments in Bac Ha commune. The program aims to improve the quality of tourism human resources, meeting development requirements in the context of tourism being an important economic sector of the province.

In recent years, Lao Cai tourism has achieved many remarkable results with an estimated 10.5 million visitors per year, contributing over 15% of the province's GRDP. In addition to outstanding achievements, the quality of human resources, especially the direct service team at accommodation establishments, still has limitations that need to be overcome.

The organization of the training course demonstrates the determination of the tourism industry in improving the professional qualifications and professional skills of the accommodation staff, aiming to build a professional, civilized and friendly image of Lao Cai tourism.

The lecturers are experts and experienced lecturers from Hanoi Open University. The training content is built in a standardized direction, focusing on skill groups: overview of community tourism, preparation of facilities; skills in welcoming and serving guests; culinary management, marketing; organizing additional services, monitoring finances and ensuring service quality.
