Born in the sacred homeland (Phu Tho), after graduating from the Primary Education major, in 2014, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung brought with her passion and enthusiasm of youth to Lai Chau - a remote borderland to take the exam to recruit civil servants in the Education sector. Passing the exam, she officially began her journey as a "sower of knowledge" in the mountains and forests of the Northwest.
Ms. Nhung shared: the day she held the admission letter in her hand, she was both happy and worried because she was alone in a foreign land, the place she was going to was a remote border area.
However, her love for the job and children helped her overcome everything, and for more than 11 years, Ms. Nhung has stayed in the village, "sowing letters" at many schools in Nam Xe commune, old Phong Tho district (now Sin Suoi Ho commune) such as: Ban Mo Primary School; Nam Xe Primary Ethnic Minority High School No. 2 and now Nam Xe Primary Ethnic Minority High School.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Nhung kindly instructs and teaches students.
Ms. Nhung confided: “The first days I arrived here, I was bewildered. The mountains were undulating, the dirt roads were slippery, and the fog covered the way. Teaching in the highlands was even more challenging when life was still difficult, many students did not have enough money to buy books, and the road to school was far, so sometimes maintaining class size was a great pressure. But instead of being discouraged, I saw those difficulties as motivation to practice patience, creativity, and find ways to work that were suitable to the students' circumstances. And, it was the humanity, the warm and loving teacher-student relationship here that helped me ease my homesickness and love my job more. Currently, I am the homeroom teacher of class 5A2. For me, teaching is not only a job but also a "mission", students are not only learners but also a motivation and a belief for me to devote more to my profession.
To be able to sow the knowledge and sow the faith in her students, every day Ms. Nhung always studies by herself to improve her qualifications and professional expertise. With the goal of not only passively acquiring knowledge but also actively learning how to be confident, how to love, how to share and progress together. Therefore, in the teaching process, Ms. Nhung always tries to innovate methods to create excitement for students. She encourages students to work in groups and boldly express their opinions to build lessons. Actively apply technology, invest in purchasing technology equipment for teaching and use images and learning games to make each lesson more lively, easier to understand and closer.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Nhung actively applies information technology in teaching.
In addition, she proactively invests time in researching and developing lesson plans to promote students' qualities and abilities; regularly changes the way of testing and evaluating students' abilities through tests and activities. Regularly participates in observing colleagues' lessons; proactively studies and enriches knowledge through online classes. In teaching, she connects with reality through lectures in class and extracurricular activities; creates and collects lectures and sets of questions from other schools for students to practice.
In particular, she has taught for many years at schools dozens of kilometers away from the commune center, with difficult transportation, but the more difficult and stressful thing is that many parents do not care about their children's education, often letting their children stay home to work in the fields. With the responsibility of "sowing letters", Ms. Nhung often goes to the village, "going from door to door" to encourage parents to send their children to school. Many times, she used her own money to buy books, school supplies, toys, candy... to motivate the children to actively go to class. Ms. Nhung's practical actions and deeds contribute to sowing lessons about confidence, love and sharing in the students' souls.
In addition to performing her professional duties well, Ms. Nhung often spends time talking, caring, and listening to students' thoughts and aspirations to reflect them to the school board, subject teachers, and their families. Develop plans to organize educational activities and extracurricular activities so that students can interact, learn, practice ethics, lifestyle, behavior, and apply the knowledge they have learned to life.
“As a mother, having to take care of the family, raise two young children, and teach in the highlands is a big challenge for me. But instead of being discouraged, I see it as motivation to practice. There are times when I am tired and pressured, but thinking of my students and children, I try my best to complete the work. Every sacrifice is worth it when I see the children progress every day,” Ms. Nhung said emotionally.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Nhung focuses on innovating teaching methods to promote students' initiative in learning.
Ms. Bui Thi Khuyen - Vice Principal of the school commented: Ms. Nhung has solid expertise; always diligent, willing to learn to improve her professional qualifications and skills. Actively participates in campaigns and movements. Solidarity, closeness, helping colleagues to progress together, building a strong collective. With her efforts and contributions, for many consecutive years, Ms. Nhung has been commended by all levels and sectors such as: in the 2018 - 2019 school year, she was awarded a certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee for excellent performance of her tasks; from the 2018 - 2019 school year to the 2023 - 2024 school year, she was awarded many certificates of merit by the People's Committee of Phong Tho district (old) and the Labor Federation of Phong Tho district (old) for being an excellent homeroom teacher, "Emulation fighter at the grassroots level"... Ms. Nhung is an example for her colleagues to learn and follow.
For more than 11 years working in the old Nam Xe border area (now Sin Suoi Ho commune), Ms. Nhung understands that teaching is a noble but difficult profession, especially for teachers in the highlands. But it is precisely these difficulties and hardships that create the value of the profession, so that now Ms. Nhung is not only a teacher but also a friend, a sister and also a "light" illuminating the path of learning for many generations of students in the border commune. And perhaps, in the early morning mist covering the path to the village, the image of a small teacher with a gentle smile, patiently staying in the village, is still the most vivid and beautiful proof of the love for the profession, the persistent journey of a person "sowing letters" in the border of the Fatherland.
