Bamboo Airways strengthens Board of Directors, ready for new growth cycle

Following the success of the 2025 Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, the Board of Directors (BOD) of Tre Viet Aviation Joint Stock Company held its first meeting and unanimously elected Mr. Pham Ngoc Vinh as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Thus, the Board of Directors of Bamboo Airways for the 2023-2028 term includes 5 members: Mr. Pham Ngoc Vinh - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Le Thai Sam - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Vuong Cong Duc and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trong - Vice Chairmen of the Board of Directors, Mr. Le Ba Nguyen - Member of the Board of Directors.

The new Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bamboo Airways said: “I sincerely thank the Board of Directors and shareholders for their trust. The completion of the Board of Directors is an important step in the process of perfecting the management apparatus and continuing the comprehensive restructuring journey of Bamboo Airways, aiming to enhance operational capacity, consolidate financial potential and prepare for a new growth cycle.

Previously, at the extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on July 5, 2025, shareholders unanimously elected Mr. Pham Ngoc Vinh and Mr. Vuong Cong Duc to the Board of Directors.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Vinh has 25 years of experience in the field of investment and management, operating economic organizations, and has held senior leadership positions in many enterprises. Before joining the Board of Directors of Bamboo Airways, Mr. Vinh accompanied Bamboo Airways as a Board advisor and made many positive contributions in consulting on the airline's development strategy.

Mr. Vuong Cong Duc has nearly 30 years of experience in the field of Law - Finance - Banking and has held senior management and executive positions at many enterprises and financial institutions such as Member of the Board of Directors of Viet Capital Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ba Ria - Vung Tau International Tourism Services Company... and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Sacombank .

Mr. Vuong Cong Duc and former Chairman of Bamboo Airways Phan Dinh Tue are both important representatives of Sacombank - a partner playing a key role in the restructuring process and a long-term companion of Bamboo Airways. Mr. Vuong Cong Duc will take over the duties at Bamboo Airways from Mr. Phan Dinh Tue, while Mr. Tue will continue to support and coordinate with Mr. Duc at Sacombank. This inheritance and close coordination demonstrates the strategic connection between Sacombank and Bamboo Airways, towards the goal of recovery and sustainable development.

In addition, Bamboo Airways also unanimously elected Mr. Pham Van Phung as Head of the Supervisory Board. Bamboo Airways Supervisory Board consists of 04 members: Mr. Pham Van Phung, Mr. Nguyen Tri Thong, Mr. Nguyen Vu Phong and Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh.

In the context of the growing domestic aviation market, increasing demand for air transport, airlines in the process of recovering from the pandemic and making efforts to increase scale, domestic aviation infrastructure is also focused on investment, upgrading and expansion, Bamboo Airways also accelerates recovery with restructuring and efforts to synchronously deploy many modern solutions to improve operating processes, optimize resources and enhance operational efficiency.

In the first 6 months of 2025, Bamboo Airways has recorded positive changes: seat utilization rate reached 88%, revenue reached more than 96% of the plan, operating losses decreased sharply, approaching the break-even point. This is an important premise for the airline to move towards profit in the following years.

At the same time, Bamboo Airways is implementing a 5-year strategic plan for 2025-2030, actively working with consulting partners and strategic investors to strengthen financial resources and anticipate the next growth phase.
