On the afternoon of December 1, 2025, the Steering Committee for the Election of Deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term (Provincial Election Steering Committee) held a conference to discuss, agree on the issuance of a number of documents and direct the contents of the election work. At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee briefly presented the draft documents including: perfecting the Provincial Election Steering Committee; Working regulations of the Provincial Election Steering Committee and announcing the assignment of tasks to members of the Provincial Election Steering Committee. The leaders of the Department of Home Affairs reported on the progress of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; proposed the expected allocation of the number and structure of deputies to the 16th National Assembly in Lang Son province.

Information and propaganda work on the election is being promoted by agencies and units. Regarding the allocation of the number and structure of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term in Lang Son province, the province elected 7 deputies (3 central deputies and 4 local deputies). The number of elected provincial People's Council deputies is 50 deputies; the number of elected commune-level People's Council deputies is 1,270 deputies.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Doan Thi Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested: The Standing Office of the Provincial Election Steering Committee advises on adding members to the Steering Committee; coordinates in reviewing and assigning tasks to members to ensure no overlap, omission of areas and agreement with Decision No. 58 dated November 20, 2025 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on assigning members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, and leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors to be in charge of commune and ward Party Committees.

At the same time, the Provincial Election Committee regularly updates the Central Government's directive documents, proactively develops documents to lead and direct local election work; promptly advises on personnel work for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly; directs and organizes the first consultation conference to ensure the correct time as prescribed. The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission continues to strengthen leadership and direction to promote propaganda work, build a time frame and propaganda content closely following the election progress.
