BTO-On the morning of May 19, the Military Command of Ham Tan district organized a tree planting launching ceremony to celebrate the 133rd anniversary of Uncle Ho's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2023).
Speaking at the ceremony, the leader of the Ham Tan District Military Command reviewed the tradition of planting trees to show gratitude to Uncle Ho of our people throughout the past time. During his lifetime, beloved Uncle Ho advised "For the benefit of ten years, plant trees, for the benefit of a hundred years, cultivate people" and he directly initiated and organized tree planting on holidays and Tet.
The leaders of the Ham Tan District Military Command require all officers and soldiers in the unit to regularly take care of trees with the right techniques, ensuring a high survival rate, good growth and development; assign responsibilities and tasks to each force in planting, caring for and protecting trees.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, officers and soldiers planted 50 fruit trees in the unit's campus... This is a meaningful activity, expressing the sentiment of "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" of officers and soldiers of the Ham Tan District Military Command, while at the same time propagating andeducating the entire unit about the meaning and importance of planting trees, planting forests, creating an ecological environment, greening vacant land, camouflaging defense works and creating a green, clean, and beautiful landscape at agencies and units.
