The Ministry of Construction has just issued Decision No. 1893/QD-BXD assigning the Vietnam Road Administration to manage all road infrastructure assets in the Vung Ang - Bung section, part of the North-South Eastern Expressway Project for the 2021-2025 period.

The decision, signed by Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van on October 30, 2025, marks an important transition step to put the project into stable operation, with a total asset value of more than VND 10,883 billion.
The Vung Ang - Bung expressway section has a total length of 60.43km, passing through Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces. The total value of assets includes main items: Main and auxiliary roads are 50.311km long, with an original value of more than 5,920 billion VND. Of which, the section Km568+200-Km581+100 passing through Ha Tinh province is 8.76km long, with a value of about 1,282 billion VND. The section Km581+100-Km624+228.79 passing through Quang Tri province is 36.291km long, with a value of 4,549 billion VND.
The Tien Chau-Van Hoa intersection is 2.12km long with a total investment of about 47.9 billion VND and the National Highway 12A intersection is 3.14km long with a total investment of about 39.4 billion VND.
The road bridge system is 8,943km long, with a total value of 3,585 billion VND. Among them are large bridges such as Song Gianh with a length of 2,812km, a total intersection value of 1,261 billion VND; Song Son intersection with a length of 0.651km, a total investment of 335 billion VND and many other small bridges using prestressed reinforced concrete structures and solid pile foundations.
Deo But Tunnel is located in Ha Tinh province with a length of 1.179km, original investment cost of 1,378 billion VND, is a key project to help shorten the distance and increase safety for the route.
