(NLDO) – In 2024, the Coast Guard Command and the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund supported the construction and repair of gratitude houses for 3 disadvantaged military families of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command.
On the morning of June 25, at Yen Thang village 2, Hoa Lac commune (Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province), the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 and the Chua A Dinh Scholarship Fund held an inauguration ceremony and handed over support for the construction of a gratitude house to the family of Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Ngoc Linh, a driver, Staff Department, Command of Coast Guard Region 2.

Attending the inauguration and handover of support for the construction of the gratitude house were Colonel Tran Hong Que, Deputy Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2, Mr. Nguyen Tran Chau - Permanent Deputy Director of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund - Deputy Head of the "For Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club and Mr. Hoang Trong Hai - Herbalife Independent Distributor, sponsor.
The 120 square meter, 700 million VND level 4 house of Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Ngoc Linh was built spaciously and cozyly with the family's mobilized resources, of which the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and sponsors supported 80 million VND.
Speaking at the house inauguration and handover ceremony, Colonel Tran Hong Que, Deputy Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2, said that in 2024, with the attention of the Standing Party Committee - Head of the Coast Guard Command and the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, they supported the construction and repair of gratitude houses for 3 families of soldiers in difficult circumstances under the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, including the family of comrade Nguyen Ngoc Linh.
After more than 3 months of active construction, the house has been completed according to plan and ensures quality. The new house will help the family gradually stabilize their lives, and is a motivation for comrade Linh to work with peace of mind.
Supporting the construction of Gratitude Houses for military families demonstrates the concern of the Party, State, Army and the whole society for soldiers who are currently facing difficult housing circumstances, creating conditions for military families to gradually stabilize their lives.
At the same time, this is also a very meaningful activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024).
The Deputy Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2 expressed his deep gratitude to the local government leaders, leaders of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and sponsors for their timely attention and support to the unit in implementing military policy activities and military rear policies.
On this occasion, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 presented a gift of an air conditioner worth 10 million VND to the family of Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Ngoc Linh.
