
The conference was chaired by comrades: Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense ; General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Le Minh Tri, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Party Central Committee members, Deputy Heads of the Central Internal Affairs Commission: Vo Van Dung, Le Hong Quang; Party Central Committee members, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense: General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong.
The conference comprehensively evaluated the results achieved, exchanged and discussed difficulties and obstacles; drew lessons learned during the operation; and shared good and creative practices to improve the quality and efficiency of operations during the implementation of the Coordination Regulations between the Central Internal Affairs Commission and the Central Military Commission.
At the conference, General Phan Van Giang outlined a number of contents and results of 10 years of implementing the Regulation on coordination of work between the Central Internal Affairs Commission and the Central Military Commission. Accordingly, the two agencies have proactively coordinated and effectively carried out research and advisory work on internal affairs; preventing and combating corruption, waste, negativity and judicial reform related to the military and national defense; coordinated research and proposed viewpoints, guidelines, policies and major orientations of the Party on internal affairs, preventing and combating corruption, waste, negativity and judicial reform; actively and proactively researched, advised and proposed projects, guidelines, policies and solutions to handle military and national defense situations related to internal affairs, important legal documents, and the Party's guidelines and viewpoints on building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation.
At the same time, the two agencies coordinate to research and develop projects on the organization and operation of agencies with judicial, inspection and legal functions in the Ministry of National Defense; give opinions on planning military cadres; appoint positions, promote general ranks, extend service time, reward and discipline for cadre positions of the Ministry of National Defense under the management of the Politburo and the Secretariat. In addition, the Central Internal Affairs Commission and the Central Military Commission coordinate to advise and propose to the Politburo and the Secretariat policies in handling especially serious and complicated cases and cases related to the military and national defense...
Regarding information exchange and coordination, the two agencies closely coordinate in exchanging information and documents related to internal affairs, national defense, national security, anti-corruption, waste, negativity and judicial reform; on military affairs, national defense, political security, social order and safety; propose major policies and solutions of the Party, and develop military and defense handling plans related to internal affairs.
In addition, the two agencies always proactively coordinate to perform other tasks as required by the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity, and the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform.

At the Conference, with a spirit of frankness, openness and experience drawn from practical leadership, direction, guidance, monitoring, inspection and implementation, delegates discussed and contributed many enthusiastic opinions to the draft summary report as well as the contents that need to be amended and supplemented to the Regulations so that the Central Internal Affairs Commission and the Central Military Commission can continue to do better in coordination and successfully complete the tasks of each agency in the coming years.
On this occasion, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission Phan Van Giang and Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac signed the revised coordination regulations.
In his concluding remarks, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac stated that, in response to the demands of the new situation, cadres, soldiers and civil servants of the two agencies need to make greater efforts to contribute to fulfilling their core role in protecting the independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Fatherland; stepping up the fight against corruption, waste and negativity; and building a clean and strong Party, State and Army.
The Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission noted a number of issues that need to be focused on in the coming time, including focusing on coordinating and advising on institutionalizing and concretizing major policies and orientations on military, national defense, national defense, preventing and combating corruption, waste, negativity, and judicial reform in the documents of the 14th National Party Congress.
In addition, the two agencies will strengthen coordination in grasping the situation, forecasting, and advising on timely and effective handling of complex and emerging issues related to military, national defense, security, and national defense.
