Meanwhile, the price of SJC 4-digit 9 gold bars was listed in Hanoi at VND73.1 million per tael for buying and VND74.12 million per tael for selling.

The price of SJC gold bars traded at DOJI Hanoi ended the session on December 8 at 73 million VND per tael for buying and 74.1 million VND per tael for selling.

The international spot gold price on Kitco floor at 9:42 p.m. on December 8, Vietnam time was at 2,003.4 USD per ounce. Meanwhile, the gold futures price was at 2,021.7 USD per ounce.

Gold prices today, December 9, on the world market decreased after the US employment report was better than economists ' forecasts, with the unemployment rate at a low level.

On the stock market, at the end of the trading session on December 8, VN-Index increased by 2.95 points to 1,124.44 points. HNX-Index decreased by 0.64 points to 231.2 points. UPCoM-Index stood at the reference price of 85.71 points with 162 stocks increasing and 136 stocks decreasing.

The central exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong and the US dollar announced by the State Bank on December 8 was 23,951 VND/USD, down 8 VND compared to the previous session. The USD price at commercial banks on December 8 decreased slightly, at the end of the session it was listed around 24,020-24,390 VND/USD (buy - sell).

The world USD price increased at the end of the week. The DXY index - measuring the strength of the USD compared to 6 major currencies - at 9:37 p.m. on December 8, Vietnam time was at 104.15 points, up 0.59% compared to the previous session.

Today, December 9, the international oil price maintained its upward momentum from the previous two sessions. Brent oil price remained stable at 75 USD per barrel, WTI oil price headed towards 71 USD per barrel.

Oil prices rose after Saudi Arabia and Russia, the world's two largest oil exporters, jointly called on all members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and their partners to join a deal to cut production.

In the domestic market, the selling price of gasoline and oil today, December 9, is applied according to the price level at the management session on the afternoon of December 7 of the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade. Accordingly, gasoline and oil prices are adjusted down.

Specifically, the price of E5 gasoline decreased to 21,290 VND per liter. The price of RON 95 gasoline decreased to 22,320 VND per liter.

Diesel prices fell to VND19,720 per liter. Kerosene prices fell to VND20,920 per liter.
