(VLO) Domestic gold prices today continue to be adjusted to increase sharply; green lobster prices are increasing, from 700,000 VND to 1 million VND/kg; abundant supply of pickled melon, stable prices... are notable market information.
*Gold prices continue to rise
Domestic gold prices today, February 8, continued to be adjusted to increase sharply. Currently, the price of SJC brand gold bars is listed at 76.7 million VND/tael for buying and 78.92 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 400,000 VND in both directions compared to the previous day.
*Lobster prices increase sharply
As Lunar New Year approaches, many ships collecting green lobsters for export to the Chinese market continuously appear in Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province. The price of green lobsters is increasing, from 700,000 VND to 1 million VND/kg.
*Domestic gasoline prices may drop sharply
Domestic gasoline prices are forecast to decrease in today's adjustment period. If the management agency does not affect the Price Stabilization Fund, gasoline prices are likely to decrease by 790-900 VND/liter. Thus, the price of RON 95 gasoline could drop to 23,000 VND/liter.
*Abundant supply of pickled melon, stable price
Large round watermelons (green-skinned and yellow-skinned) are sold at many watermelon stores for only around 15,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, watermelons for Tet display, size 9-15kg/fruit, are currently priced at around 270,000-450,000 VND/pair. Meanwhile, small watermelons (dragon melon, little dragon melon, squirrel melon, seedless melon...) are currently sold at many markets and watermelon shops at 8,000-12,000 VND/kg.
*Rice prices fall again
After a period of increasing to record highs, the price of many types of rice in the Mekong Delta region has now decreased by at least 200-1,500 VND/kg compared to about 2-3 weeks ago.
In localities where rice is being harvested such as An Giang, Soc Trang , Bac Lieu and Kien Giang, farmers sell fresh rice ST24 and ST25 at 10,000-11,000 VND/kg, while previously it was at 11,000-12,000 VND/kg.
